Just to give you a couple of weeks advanced warning, so you can think about it, plan for it, etc.

But seriously, have a look at the tabs on the bottom of the spreadsheet, on the first post of this thread

Lots of fabulous resources there - links/books/blogs, etc.

I'm in, this is brilliant, was looking for some get fit support as I have foolishly signed up for a 5K Race for Life on June 1st and my friend wants me to do a 10K in July too!!

My birthday is April 30th though so it may not be a strict first week of bootcamp Confused

I also recommend shred and walk/run, c25k.

I'm definitely signing up for it this time - I need the support to keep me on the straight and narrow! I'm going on holiday in 13 weeks so I'm hoping to lose a stone before we go. This will give me a BMI of 23 and I'll be overjoyed to get there.

I can also heartily recommend C25K. I am just about to start the last week (week 9) and am truly amazed that I'm now about to run for 30 minutes without stopping. I really didn't believe at the beginning, when you start by running for just 1 minute, that I would ever get here in such a short period of time.

Hey biwi well done!!

I recently completed week 9 but wasn't sure on distance so joined a running club. Ran a measured 5k with a personal trainer in 37 mins 54 secs. Was v pleased but realised I need to speed up!im being pushed to my limit now by her.... But I'm bloody enjoying it!

And my BMI has dropped to 29 so now I'm overweight rather than obese on the calculator.

Can't tell you how much your bootcamp thread helped and inspired me, lost 43 pounds since just before xmas

Wow! Great going, HeySoulSister Flowers

I never, ever, thought I'd do running. I think I'm going to be just shy of 5K when I reach the 30 minutes, which will be sometime this week. I used MapMyRun on two of my last 28 minute runs, and the first time it said I'd run 4.11K, the second time 4.9K. The second one gave me an odd reading after the first ten minutes, though, so I'm not going to take that one as a true speed.

by the way, I ended up having a long chat with a patient just now about low carbing (she noticed I'd lost loads of weight). I am wondering about making a handout to give out to patients - on the one hand, I think this has done me a lot of good - on the other hand, it is still just a little bit controversial!

Count me in. Been LC'ing on and off for a long time. More off recently though. Have about 2 stone to lose and going away in 7 weeks! Shock Know that's never going to happen but I'm hoping for almost a stone.

Oo, glad there's going to be another Bootcamp - I've missed it! I'm down another 4 lbs (to 156) since the last weigh-in. Things are going very slowly now I'm getting closer to goal, plus I'm sort of doing pre-maintenance and allowing myself a few peas and carrots from time to time (we will gloss over the French bread and creme brulee incident a few weeks back). Only 9 lbs to go to goal, but I have a feeling it's going to take a lot of effort to get there. Roll on Bootcamp!

I'm still doing this since the last one and looking forward to the next!

Of course, I have allowed a few glasses of wine to sneak in, plus chocolate, and once i had chips :) but I'm really hoping dh joins me this time. He is still impressed with me losing 8kg whilst eating my BAB and never being hungry. Plus it doesn't affect what I cook for the family as I eat the same as them except no carbs. ( evangelical)

Sorry for ignorance, but what does BAB stand for?

BruisedFanjo - I've been eating 3 meals a day, plus snacks if I'm hungry and I've barely gone above 1400 cals. Tracking on MFP just to make sure of carb levels. So far my macros are carbs around 5-10%, fat around 60-65% and protein around 25-30% which I presume is ok.

BAB = Big Ass Breakfast, ie a substantial breakfast, like bacon (though we're supposed to avoid processed meat) and eggs and mushrooms, or an omelette, or something similar. The idea is that it keeps you going well into the afternoon :)

Ah! I was thinking along the lines of Bacon And ..... but couldn't think what the second B stood for. Thank you for explaining.

Eggs/bacon/mushrooms are my standard breakfast on this WOE. love it!

Im in, of course! Lost 2 stone on the last bootcamp, hoping for more of the same :)

BlackAffronted · 14/04/2013 14:52

I use a BAB to stop snacking rather than missing lunch. I aim for 40g protein in my BAB, then a light lunch (soup or salad with more protein) and then my dinner. It really helps cut out the snacks.
