Desperate - 1 week to lose as much weight as possible

what works best?

I've been a lazy fat dosser and need to fit into a dress on Saturday which is a bit of a squeeze at the moment.
I'm kicking myself but I'm sure I can help myself to look better even if it is mostly water I'll be losing.

Whats the most effective way?

I might try juicing for a week unless someone comes up with something more effective?

Shred? Should help ( Jillian michaels DVD)

Cut the carbs but guess you will if you are juicing

Shred might help u tone a bit, but I dont think u would lose much weight. Worth a go tho.

I've been reading about that heart op diet. I remember doing that diet with my friend in the 90's. It worked quite well I recall. Think I'll give that a go - easier than juicing!
I cant shred as it hurts me knees but I will exercise every day.

If you're prepared to go really low carb you can lose a substantial amount of weight in a week. On the last low carb Bootcamp, one poster lost 12lbs in a week.

PM me if you want to know how.

Thanks BIWI but I really can't do really low carbs. I did the atkins for a few weeks, lost shitloads of weight mainly because I wasn't eating much. All that meat isn't for me.
If I was sensible and organised, I would have been following a low gi plan which suits me better.

Hmm. But Shaxx, it doesn't have to be just meat. The emphasis is on getting your carbs from veg and salad.

I can do meat/fish once a day and I don't really eat eggs but can manage a omelette if it has loads of strong flavours. I love pretty much all veg and salad. I also like yoghurts and love cheese.
Will I be starving and constipated?
If not, then I'd love to know please Smile

Just seen this thread. Interested to know how the person lost 12lb in one week. What was a typical days 'diet' for her/him?

Right I'm joining this weight loss week club.

I've just seen a photo of me and my chins.Hmm
No carbs for me until next Monday.
Absolutely.
Definitely.
Without a doubt.
And I'm on my own with the dc this week so ill be run ragged.

I did a fad of not eating much until my evening meal once and had a healthy, normal sized portion of dinner in the evening. I lost 5lb in 5 days. But then it was Christmas and I gave in.

Shall we check in each day and see how each other is doing?

The whole joy and beauty of low carbing is that because your blood sugar levels are kept stable, you will not be hungry between meals.

If you eat sufficient veg/salad, and drink plenty of water, you will not be constipated!

Here is the first thread of the last Bootcamp, which shows you the rules, and also has the spreadsheet that we use to weigh in If you look at the tabs on the spreadsheet you'll also see lots more info re the veg that you are allowed to eat.

I've been strict low carbing for the last week and I've lost 10lbs. Down from 14st 1lb last Sunday to 13st 5lb today. I haven't been hungry. I've had to be organised. And I've used my fittness pal app to keep an eye on my carb count. (ignoring calories is weird!).

I' didn't do any exercise either.

If you are going to low carb, start soon. You can get really achey, tired and generally feel rubbish on day 4 or 5. It would be a shame to really go for it and then feel rubbish in your fab dress.

Shock Why! Really? Well done.

Inspiration for me!
I have the shred, might do that too.

.... and a low carb diet is exactly that. Low carb - not no carb. You should still be eating veg/salad.

mummy do the shred! I did the shred and cut out the majority of carbs and I lost about 11lbs in as many days. I am now one stone two pounds down since 3rd march but I did have a week off and have also not been able to exercise the past week as I dislocated my kneecap.

You will be surprised how easy it is to cut main carbs, e.g roast dinner - lots of veg, the meat and no potatoes. If you fill up on veg you won't even notice and after a few days you will stop even wanting carbs.

I don't feel like them at all now as I know they will just make me feel sluggish.

By all means have some if you really want to but you will probably find you don't even want them soon.

Tonight I am having chicken fajitas but no wraps so not fajitas at all but dh is having proper ones I feel much lighter after and it's still just as tasty :)
