There have been some fantastic results, everyone should be bloody proud. Even though the foods that we can eat make this WOE a joy, it's still a huge achievement to stick to doing something differently in a way that to begin with can seem so counter-intuitive.

So for everyone who's overcome old habits, read up on the science and shifted some wobbly bits... Huzzah! Thanks

Having said that, my passage of nature is a little hindered so with that and being due on I'm not jolly well weighing today Blush

Weighed again today, and no weight gain from the rice ... so my final weightloss is 1 stone 8 lbs woohoo!

STS for the final week - which if I am honest I did not really deserve to do, with the last few days involving slight detours including a McD's milkshake, Victoria sponge, crumpets with jam and some veggie lasagne. But it just goes to show that you can have the occasional lapse (I hope). More determined than ever to stick with it, have lost just shy of 10lbs and I look much trimmer.

So, by the start of next bootcamp I would like to be 11st 7 (12st 4 today). That's 11lbs in 6 weeks, reasonable?

And Thanks to every single one of you for the support and companionship. Long may it continue!

Thanks!

I just want to say, I wouldnt have stuck it out without you all, the invaluable advice, the stick beatings and the frowning at my foot stompings when I didnt like what the scales said Grin I really would have given up weeks ago. You guys rock!

Morning all.

When I first started I wanted to lose 10lb - but I didn't think it was possible for me to go below 9 stone 7 - no reason, just a mental block. Final weigh in is 9 stone 4. I've gone from 140lb to 130lb. There's the 10lb gone, there's the under 9 stone 7.

Also,
My IBS is about 95% better. I can run more easily. And my breakfast makes me very happy every morning.

I've also learnt that I don't have to snack and nibble throughout the day - I don't think about food outside of planning breakfast lunch and dinner.

I'm happy not drinking alcohol - the nice parts don't compensate for the bad parts (and I'm not messing up my daily carb count for a glass of red Grin).

The only thing that I could think of to comment on is the way that the thread moves so quickly that some comments are missed - is there a way of 'mopping up' unanswered questions?

Lastly (yay!), you lot have been fantastic. BIWI and Willie deserve huge thanks for being so welcoming in the first place and then so patient and helpful. You have changed people's lives.

i have to admit this hasn't been the most successful of bootcamps for me, which is nothing to do with bootcamp and everything do with my own behaviour!

but nevertheless it has been brilliant to weather it with new and old bootcampers, so thanks to all of you for your support and help.

and thanks too to BIWI for everything as always Thanks

i hasten to add, my final weigh-in is 5lb down over ten weeks, and my weight is reasonably close to goal, so an average loss of 0.5lb per week shouldn't really be sniffed at i suppose, and it is a sustainable rate too!

STS this week after last week's spectacular 8 pound loss. Not disappointed as I lapsed a bit this week with a few glasses of Prosecco and I ate stuffing with my roast chicken and ate a Comic Relief cupcake!

Total loss for the 10 weeks is 15.5 pounds - am now 12st 7.5.

I really need to continue with this. When I successfully low-carbed over 2 years ago I got down to 9st 13.

Thanks to BIWI and congrats to all those who have benefitted from this stint on Bootcamp.

See you at the next Bootcamp when I will hopefully be at a starting weight in the region of 11st 12.

Thanks for the thread BIWI and some fantastic losses, well done all.

I have not been so good this Bootcamp due to RL really getting in the way, however as of today I am going to be superstrict to try and shed a few pounds by DD1 21stGrin

Its foggy, grey and freezing here after alot of snow yesterday, seriously I need the spring to start ASAP!!

12 lbs off in total for me, but I never started until week four so I am delighted.

I'm feeling great, looking far more trim, have delicious food and best of all don't spend my life thinking about when I am next going to eat.

Thanks to everyone on this thread, I'm another that couldn't ahve done it without you all.

Since I only restarted in the middle of last week's thread, am not going to boast of major weight or inch loss! But I weighed this morning at 10st 10lb and will be endeavouring to get down to anything under 10 stone by my 40th birthday in July. I think that's a very gentle and more importantly realistic goal!

I love this WOE and am so pleased to be back eating this way. It's great to see so many people enjoying a low-carb lifestyle. I think that low-carb is slowly starting to turn the tide; it will become more and more mainstream as people realise what a pleasurable and sensible way it is to eat. I know we are still battling the 'eat less, move more/calories in, calories out' brigade but I have hope! Put it this way - when driving up to Scotland a few weeks ago we stopped off at a service station - advertising 'low-carb cooked breakfasts'! We're getting there Grin

Well done everyone so far - onwards and scales downwards!

WillieWaggledagger · 18/03/2013 10:49

ooh where was that do you remember teaandthorazine?

i agree it is so fantastic to hear people not only losing weight but also enthusiastic about what they're eating and how they're feeling in themselves

I don't get to a place with scales until Friday, so have put myself down as STS again. No idea if I've lost anything in the past few weeks, but I know I've stuck to my plan and not cheated (apart from a planned diversion into vodka yesterday, 'cos it was St Patrick's Day!). I'll weigh myself on Saturday morning and see how I've done.

Like Willie, this hasn't been a hugely successful bootcamp for me this time, which I take full responsibility for! Still I'm down 4lbs from the start of the year and I'm ready now to knuckle down, now that Xmas (and Xmas food!) is a distant memory.

I think I'm also going to have to face up to the fact that caffeine seems to be a loss staller for me Sad. I'm going cold turkey now and will see if it makes a difference next week.

Thanks to BIWI and Willie for all their hard work, and to everyone else for the chats, recipes, laughs and inspiration Thanks

I have sts this week, despite the 2 pieces of flour less chocolate cake, soba noodles and 2 glasses of red I had yesterday Blush. I would have liked to lose more this bootcamp but I wasn't strict enough and 10lbs is an ok weight loss, I think. Everyone was telling me yesterday how much thinner I looked.

I am looking forward to the next few weeks and continuing inspiration from all of you... Grin

Well, I gained weight, due to being a carb pig, and not having the guts to come back to the thread for an arse kicking. However, I restarted yesterday and hope to be 10lb down by the time bootcamp starts again. BIWI, thank you, and I can't wait for bootcamp to start again!
