i am fat not cuddly but i have made a start

I need to lose three stone , I need to get fitter . And I am determined to get there .
Dies anybody want to join me ? Or just come and give me some tips ?

I have made a start and today is my first weigh in day . I have lost five pounds so I am very happy .

Thats great... I am doing WW started at 17.2 and have lost 29.5 lb!!!!!!! I am loving it it suits me..

What are you doing to lose weight?

That is a great loss , how long have you been doing ww ? The timing of the group round here doesn't work for me so I am just eating sensibly and drinking a lot more water . I am a bit of a carb monster so cutting right back but not cutting out as that just makes me crave and then fail .
I need to find an exercise that I can do to help but getting motivated for that is a struggle .

That is a fab start. I needed to lose 2 and a half stone. Joined Slimming World at the end Sept and am about half way there . Going back to work in Jan after ML so need to fit in my work clothes! I worked through the Couch to 5 K over the summer and still go out running 2 or 3 times a week. It has made a massive difference to my fitness.

I am tempted by the couch to 5k but I am not sure I am brave enough , I would feel daft if anyone saw me . Silly isn't it ?
Well done on the loss , you must feel loads better already .

Don't be scared of the C2 5k. It is very gentle to begin with and ramps up slowly. I used to do it in the dark once I'd put the DC to bed. (DH was in!).

I will have to build up to it I think , I live in a village and really wouldn't want to see anyone .
I love how you said your dh was in , you can never be too careful .

I live in a village too, hence waiting til after dark. DH and I have a mad schedule of who gets to do sport and who stays in each evening, with running and Kettlesize (me) and Pilates, bike club runs and mountain biking (with mates and strong lights) (him). Have been feeling like I have got a cold coming on for a few days, but am changed and ready for Kettlesize anyway (where lots of people get to see me in my full wobbly glory) as we were away last week and I missed Slimming World. I need a little boost to make sure weigh in on Friday isn't too disastrous!

I started in Jan 2012... Been a bit slower then some but I allow myself a day off a week of counting points which has probably slowed it up a bit but has kept me sane..
I weigh in on a saturday morning which is perfect for me smile

I havent done any exercise apart from the odd walk round the lake.

Hello - and well done on your losses so far!

I am currently 8 stone 12 ish and over the past year have lost a lot of weight. I recommend the following for success...

1. Only eat three times a day and don't snack.

2. No alcohol

3. Calorie count and write everything down

4. Cut out ALL white carbs and moderately eat good carbs... with one meal a day, preferably. Don't eat cereal for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, pasta for dinner and a banana as a snack... you'll have mainlined carbs all day!

The above helped me drop over 6 stone.
