How many calories do you eat per day?

Sorry if it's been done to death. Just curious as to how many calories you eat (if known) to lose weight. I'm currently on 1200 per day to try and lose a few extra vanity pounds (BMI currently 19.3) but I feel like crap. I have no energy and feel physically weak, and moody. I've survived on fewer than this before, but is this still too low? I just feel like if I eat any more, it'll take forever to lose any weight (I probably burn 1800ish calories per day).

Oh, and my diet consists mainly of vegetables, some fruit, some fish/chicken/quorn, not many carbs, if that's relevant. Thanks Thanks

900-1000.

Low carbing so feel full much easier. Protein is amazing!

Also, drinking loads of water. Definitely helps me not to feel hungry so often.

100 to 500 max on fast days ( every other day) and around 2000 on eating days.

Tbh if you feel like crap, and your bmi is clearly healthy, I would concentrate on eating 1800 decent nutritious calories and no junk, and lose a pound or two/ tone up with some exercise. You may be lacking something your body needs.

500kcal twice a week, no idea for the rest of the week - drink wine, eat lots of G&Bs 85% cocoa, cheese, I limit carbs and run or do an exercise class 4-5 times a week.

God knows! I don't count calories I just cut out grains, sugar, pulses and processed food. I lost one and a half stone in three months. This morning I had a three egg omelette with mushrooms, tomato and peppers and a little cheese. I never feel hungry.

Delicious irony. I think with a BMI of 19 you should be eating more. IMO your lack of energy is your body screaming for food. As others have said eat well and tone up, rather than trying to loose more weight.

FWIW I eat 1500-2500

2200, more if I do cardio and go under my BMR. In 3 months I lost 4 inches, and they've stayed off. I'm just starting to do another push to try to lose a bit more, so hoping to start at the gym for some strength training. More importantly though, when I'm following EMTWL my hair and skin are better, my asthma is better, I don't get ill and I'm full of energy.

Thanks for the responses. Lots of people doing the 5:2 thing, I see. MrsMango, I've been reading all about the EMTWL, thanks. I am starting to finally believe that I am eating too little, and maybe eating below my BMR isn't the greatest idea and is probably responsible for my feeling like crap.
I'm going to start increasing my calories - should I do it gradually, or straight up to 1500 or so?

work out your weekly total and then allow for your fast days

2000 a day and I also do anywhere from 7 to 13 classes each week (have been since september) and am 1lb of 2 stone lost since the end of july, my BMI is sitting at 32 so I still have a long way to go.
I didnt believe I could eat what I can and still lose weight but I realised I had been starving myself for years.
I have not been ill since I started where as before workouts combined with lower calories had me ill within 3 weeks max.

I eat approx 2000 cals daily and do very little exercise, My BMI is 19 and has been for over 2 years.

EMTLW. 1800 to 2000 cals a day, exercise twice a week, have lost 2 stones since June. I log everything in MFP and have overrided their recommended 1200 cals a day as that would just be silly.
