Hope everyone is doing well.
I haven't weighed this morning - was a little bit distracted by a phone call from my lovely SIL in Australia, to announce the safe arrival of Gabriel Paul and Nell Florence Jean! Gabriel weighed 5lbs 2oz and Nell 4lbs 10oz, so good weights to say they are 3 weeks early.
So I'm a great aunty
Nappyaddict I am about 5"2. Might be 5"3 on a good day.

I'm three pounds down this morning and at target but am saying that really quietly and not adding it to the spread sheet yet as I'm not sure if it's true or whether it's because of my vomiting virus last week. That said I've been eating and drinking normally since Wednesday so fingers crossed. If it's still there tomorrow will accept that today's reading wasn't a a cruel mirage!

I was thinking about this WOE all this morning and feeling quite emotional . I have realised that I am actually thin now. Properly thin with no bulgy bits. I still have not weighed myself and I possibly won't bother as I need new scales and can't be arsed to buy them.
But I have stopped thinking about my weight all the time, because I don't need to.
I have stopped mentally processing every single item of food that goes in my mouth, because I have managed to stop emotional eating, stop the cravings, stop the gain and lose half a stone cycle I was trapped in.
My DH is now totally on board after reading Briffa
in fact keeps irritatingly telling me stuff I already know
Thank you everyone. I feel that it was a lucky day for me that I clicked on these threads. I was so upset after my miscarriage and feeling as if I had gained all that weight for no reason (of course the weight thing was the least important part but still very significant for me). I now hope that I would be able to be pregnant without eating wheat or sugar and am considering trying again for a baby. I have a hunch that I wouldn't suffer so badly if I was lucky enough to get pregnant again.
Oh and my breath doesn't smell so bad anymore either

Are we allowed coleslaw (the one I have is 5.5g per 100g but I may be able to buy it with a lower carb value from somewhere else) or vinegar of any kind?

nappyaddict's friend - coleslaw is fine. Full fat & as low carb as you can find.
Vinegar's fine too, except balsamic as it's quite sweet.

How much do you weigh then nappyaddict - and what is your target? I keep lowering mine! I have a friend (who posts gorgeous pics on FB) who is the same height as me and always looks so toned and thin - am trying to emulate her (but daren't ask how much she weighs...)
Nappy addict and Booz... Another shortarse with stumpy legs here! What weight do you think is right for you? Mr dukan said 8'6 to me but I've settled for a bit below that...the truth is I want to be elegant and willowy but that just isn't ever going to happen with my body, even if I was a skeleton! But Boobz, surely you'll disappear if you keep going til Jan?
I love the name Nell it would have been my girl name.
Lunch was cucumber, tuna, mayo, salad leaves, chicken leg, one boiled egg, half a chunk of cheese.
I weigh more than your start weight - 9 stone 12 at the moment. I think I want to be 9 stone. I was naturally 8 stone 7 pre-pregnancy, could eat whatever I wanted and not put any weight on, but looking back at photos I think I looked far too skinny, I just didn't see it at the time.

1.5 lbs off for me this morning, which means that, in old money, I am now back in the 10 stone something range!!! Ok it's 10 stone 13.5, but hey, it counts right? surprised and chuffed as I didn't feel like I'd lost. I'm 5'8" if anyone is wondering.
Welcome, nappyaddict's friend! Vinegar is 0 carbs - apart from balsamic, which is very carby, so should be avoided as much as possible. Beware, though, that it's often used in restaurant dressings as people like it so much. Or if they don't use balsamic, they put bloody honey in the dressing!
Another short arse here - I'm also 5ft 2in. I was 8 stone 11 when I got married (picture also on my profile), but
a) that was 22 years ago
b) I seem to be a different shape and able to carry a bit more weight since I had children
I'm aiming to get down to 9 stone, and will make a decision then whether or not to (try) and go any further. It's coming off so slowly, though, that it will be months before I get that far.
cathyandClaire - I want to keep going until I have absolutely no fat on my legs (I have knee fat!) and no fat on my hips at all. I want to have a 6 pack and a nice lean and toned back and arms, and I reckon losing another 8-10lbs will achieve this. That will make me about 8 stone exactly, or just under.
I am doing P90X (a home work out DVD), Bikram yoga and running about 40km a week as well. I appear to have become a tad obsessed with getting in to shape. I have had to give my body over to three pregnancies, births and breastfeeding, lasting since July 2008 until I stopped feeding my youngest 3 months ago in August 2012 (3 babies in 3 years!) and now I feel like it's my turn to get back to being me and MY body again. Hence the new diet and all the exercise.
By mid Jan I hope to be the best I can possibly be (without a boob job - no amount of dieting or exercise is going to restore them to their former glory I am sad to say!) and then it will be about maintenance (relaxing the phys and even the diet a little bit - I miss my wine too much!)
What weight have you settled for?
So are rice vinegar, white/red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar ok?
see here for info on wine/cider vinegar - suggests there are no carbs
Rice vinegar appears to vary - best check the label, I think.
I have Yutaka rice vinegar, and it has 6.4g carbs per 100ml.

So many people struggle with emotional eating - it was reading the IPD Diet book that really brought it home to me that I was an emotional eater and that this WOE would work for me.
Well done, MsRinky on getting under 200lbs. It's brilliant, isn't it, and makes such a difference to see the numbers in the 100s. Onwards and downwards for you now
12lbs to go for me now to reach the target I set myself back in January. What I really need to do is more exercise to try and tone up as my skin is getting loose (eww!) Seeing a personal trainer at the weekend (oh how I hate exercise!) It's got to be done...
I'll leave out rice vinegar then and stick to wine/cider vinegar. Thanks for your help

Just remembered that I did some research into coleslaw for LittleFrieda, a while ago! Here is what I found on the Sainsbury's website:

Basics CS - 3.7g carbs per 100g
Taste the Difference CS - 4.8g carbs per 100g
Taste the Difference West Country Cheddar CS - 5.1g carbs per 100g
Deli Style CS - 5.4 g carbs per 100g
Jalapeno CS - 5.6g carbs per 100g
Be Good To Yourself - 6.2g carbs per 100g
Cheese CS - 6.5g carbs per 100g
Mango & Chilli CS - 7.2g carbs per 100g
Peanut Satay CS - 8.7g carbs per 100g
So Sainsbury's Basics it is! (Or make your own - then it will be additive-free)
I usually have balsamic vinegar and olive oil as a salad dressing and the other members of the family dip their crusty bread in it. Does anyone know which type of vinegar would be the best substitute for balsamic vinegar in this case?
