My baby is about two now. When she was seven months I did Shred every day and lost shedloads of weight and when I turned 27 I was pretty slim (but not perfect).
Now a year on I have ballooned- a year of sugary coffees (Why did I let my husband pervert me? ALways was a long black girl), canteen food at university and taking the bus to my course rather than using my pins (it's an hour on the bus). There is such an overhang over my jeans. And my dresses all fit wrong and when I sit down, my thighs make a loud slapping noise.
Just entered my morning food and drink into myfitnesspal... a couple of coffees and a Cookie Time biscuit (it's 3pm here in NZ)... and it's a staggering 1000 calories gone already. Just like that.
Just tried Jillian Michaels's "Cardio Kickbox" for the first time in eight months and had to stop and die after twelve measly minutes (I have almost all her stuff; love her; know she works...)
OK. Here's my question (And I'd be sincerely grateful for any help). What food should I eat? This new 5:2 thing wasn't around when I last lost weight. Does it work? Or should I stick to trying to eliminate all those sugary coffees and limit the bread to a couple of slices a day? I am very confused. I lost weight the first time by eating salad for one meal a day and soup and a spud for the other. Occasional porridge. Some fruit. I don't know if that's healthy or not.
I realise that if I can just regularly do Jillian Michaels again, and hopefully tackle the Couch25k (again, stopped on week 6 when we moved house, and never bothered to start again).
Other questions. How can I keep going, once I've started? How can I convince myself to maintain the weight loss? And how (more importantly) can I not lose my fitness gains? Now my daughter can run and while she can't outstrip me yet I see it is only a matter of time. Exercise is HARD and now I can't do a single push-up... again.
GAH. Thank you for reading. I don't dare see how much I weigh, but suspect it might be getting up near 80kg again. I'm 5"6, so this is not healthy at all.
