Need to catch up with posts...but thought I would share my motivation with you DH has been married before and his exW is on facebook..because we have a mutual friend ( a fitness instructor who does a diet and fitness programme ) I keep on seeing posts relating to her weightloss...this drives me insane ( am a tad sensitive and insecure about being 2nd wife) so every time the carbs beckon I have to go on facey to reboot my mojo!!!! Competitive dieting at its best : )

NotAgainAndAgain Mon 15-Oct-12 13:18:32

read about "loveliest veg dish of braised cabbage" and got curious about the recipe 'cause mine was not that exciting. May I please ask a link or recipe? Thanks a lot!

NotAgainAndAgain Mon 15-Oct-12 12:20:04

I lost my first 3.5 lb! Not much, but at last a beginning. Hurray! to the s/s!

Lavendersbluedillydilly1969 Mon 15-Oct-12 12:18:29

Noting what lots of you are saying about being late this month and dont know if lc has an effect on timescale of periods but mine arrived a whole week early out of the blue and with none of the usual bloating or stomach cramps.

Ewan was wondering same thing - also 5 days late.. Felt bloated yesterday so think AF on way.

tempertemper Mon 15-Oct-12 09:35:50

Woo. Lost 5lbs in 3 days.

Themumsnot Mon 15-Oct-12 09:06:40

I've lost two pounds. Annoyingly, I weighed a pound less yesterday morning, must have been the forbidden wine last night that put it back up again. blush Onwards and upwards.
How is everybody feeling as we embark on bootcamp lite. I am looking forward to some blackberries today!

BigBroomstickBIWI Mon 15-Oct-12 09:03:39

Week 3 thread is here

captainmummy Mon 15-Oct-12 08:57:54

SHit shit shit - I'm up, only .7lb but feel bloated and flabby. My cycle has been wobbly these past few months, I seem to come on every 2 weeks! I get bloated in the middle of the month (whereever that is now, I dunno) so hoping that's what it is (not the red wine I had yesterday)

Jacaqueen Mon 15-Oct-12 08:50:13

Morning everyone.

I am away for half term but I weighed on Saturday before we left and I was 2 lbs down. I am going to claim that for week 2. Could some kind person update the spreadsheet for me please as I am on silly phone and can't do it.

AuntieMaggie Mon 15-Oct-12 08:44:56

Morning ladies.

I walked to the train station with my knickers around the top of my thighs last week - good job I had trousers on or I'd have lost them!

Weighed this morning and I'm up but I think its because I'm really bloated and nauseous and my stomach hurts - I suffer with my stomach anyway and it hasn't been right since my hol. So I've taken a double dose of esomeprazole and had a cup of tea. Will try some yogurt in a bit.

Will weigh again in a couple of days. My trousers are looser though!

halfthesize Mon 15-Oct-12 08:32:07

good morning loosers and well done to those who have lost,

hurricanewyn sorry to hear about your bad daysad

Well I woke up and had a coffee and a pint of water before thinking, so will weigh in tomorrow!! I will be on bootcamp until I have shifted this last half a stone, seems harder now than at the beginning, have decided to drop cheese, yog and cream this week and no booze for me until next night out, which is a good 2 weeks away.

Good luck with weigh inswink

JessicaWakefield Mon 15-Oct-12 08:27:48

I'm not brave enough to weigh this morning after eating a bowl of mini chocolate weetabix and a flapjack on Saturday. So cross with myself. Only excuse was DS 6mo has a miserable cold which means he's up a lot overnight and I'm currently shattered but the carbs did not make me feel better in fact they just gave me stomach spasms all day yesterday. Kept on message yesterday and will be VG today so hopefully will be rewarded when I weigh tomorrow. Well done on the losses posted up thread and have a great day everyone.

LRDtheFeministDragon Mon 15-Oct-12 08:27:32

Congratulations everyone!

I'm down to 9st 11 (yay!), which is 3 lbs. Hopefully I will not have knocked myself too far off track yesterday - family party and I couldn't politely refuse cake, but got DH to eat half of it.

ewan - how odd, I'm the opposite - a week early. And no PMT, which is lovely but odd.

EwanHoozami Mon 15-Oct-12 08:14:59 the way... has anyone found that this WOE has affected their cycle?

I'm nearly a week late now.

WillieWaggledagger Mon 15-Oct-12 08:13:29

hurrah for ewan!

yes i am particularly baggy of knicker at the moment

WillieWaggledagger Mon 15-Oct-12 08:12:22

well done on losses!

0.5 lb up for me, without any cheating, but i know this is because i wasn't able to eat enough and i'm on antibiotics until next weekend so i expect they are having an effect. only one run managed last week, but will make up for it this week now that i'm on the mend

am going to keep going with bootcamp for another few weeks at least, i think until my birthday in November when i will switch to bootcamp light

EwanHoozami Mon 15-Oct-12 08:12:01

Another one with 2lb off. This means that over the last eight weeks...

I have lost a stone! grin [cartwheel]

All my knickers are too big. I was moaning that the elastic had gone in all of them at the same time and then I realised..

WELL DONE everyone. tartiflette no shooting of self, please. You weigh less, and ate some lovely food!

I'm going to do the 'Carrying On With Bootcamp Unless A Pistachio Leads Me Astray' plan.

Liveinthepresent Mon 15-Oct-12 07:42:28

2lbs off for me too. Am really happy as felt really bloated yesterday - so allowing for TOTM thought it might be a static week.
Feel like am getting into my stride on this WOE. Going to stay with family next week though and they haven't entirely been supportive in the past so will have to stay strong.
Definitely going to stick to Bootcamp in the week and maybe allow myself the lite version over the weekend.
Good luck everyone weighing in.

Lavendersbluedillydilly1969 Mon 15-Oct-12 07:39:43

2lbs down at 143.5 which I'm really pleased with. Have had an awful cold and barely eaten for a week and scales haven't moved then yesterday ate 3 meals (2 of which were pretty hefty) and voila. I'm going to stay on bootcamp for another week or two as really want to get down to 133lbs which was my normal weight till this year then will start reintroducing fruit and nuts etc.
Just really need to stay away from bread, biscuits and sugary sweets. They are soo bad for me, make me feel like rubbish and gain lbs, trouble is I do love them. Can honestly say that since I've been on bootcamp I haven't even been tempted but I do worry about when I start having fruit etc again that it will trigger those cravings.
Congratulations to everyone who've posted their losses so far today, we will all be looking amazing by Christmas.

hurricanewyn Mon 15-Oct-12 07:38:53

2lbs off for me too. Have updated the spreadsheet.

Good luck to everyone else.
