How do you deal with chronic hunger?

Especially in the evenings?

I've lost half a stone in the last 5 weeks and am feeling really good and full of energy, but I'm chronically hungry Confused When I used to diet, the hunger was never a problem and would wear off, but that was years ago.

Does the feeling ever wear off, or am I stuck like this forever?

I'm drinking plenty of fluids btw, so it's not dehydration.

I eat six times a day, and I see now they've done a study that thinks you should eat nine times a day, small meals averaging 200 calories.

I drink loads of water - een if you are well hydrated, it does fill you up a bit, and I have a snack for half nine or ten, oatcakes with cottage cheese or something.

And yes the hunger fades and your stomach gets more used to eating less too.

Well done btw.

My treat is a cup of cocoa (Green and Blacks) made with skimmed milk. Hot, fills me (well, a little!) comforts me, and a bit of a chocolate hit as well. Takes my mind off the hunger, and gives me some extra calcium as well. I only recently discovered that you dont need to add sugar if you use cocoa as opposed to drinking chocolate.

Cut out starchy foods - eat high protein, high vegetable. Starchy foods increase your insulin production which leads to appetite increase.

And well done!

Low carb and you won't feel hungry after a few days.
