hiya, have been trying the shred dvd for about 3 weeks now. am managing to do it about 4-5 times a week. have done 8 days level 1 and similar level 2. also trying to be sensible with diet, cut out junk and chocolate and reducing portion size. trying to only eat fruit between meals etc. dont want to decrease diet too much though as am bfeeding and get really hungry.

thing is feel as if i havent lost weight or toned up. definitely weight is same and clothes dont feel looser yet. is there anything else i should do? am getting very disheartened as doing it is bloody hard work and i really sweat!! dont want it all to be for nothing!

oh and also i try to swim or do another gym class every week too.

any tips? am getting fed up and close to jacking it in!! help!!!

Are you enjoying it? I wouldnt ever do an exercise regime that i didnt love, how will you be able to keep it up?

If you are loving it, just keep going knowing that it will be working out your heart & lungs even though you see no immediate benefits.

If you are not loving it, find something that you do love! Something sustainable long term, as surely as soon as you stop doing the Shred, you will lose the muscle definition you have worked up?

Log how much you are eating on MFP. I was starving always when BFing and its possible to eat through all the calories you burn in the shred (around 200), in which case you wouldn't lose.

JM suggests a diet of around 1400 a day, see link, maybe add in an extra 400 cals worth of healthy snacks to compensate for the BFing.

FWIW I couldn't diet when BFing, but now, 10 months later have lost almost 4 stone.
