It is hard but the weight drops off really quickly so it is worth it.

I have done max 5 days without a cheat and still lost but realise I need to stick at it to carry on losing.

It is great to not have to think about food and is really getting me over my food addiction.

It really is not worth cheating as it can kick you out of ketosis. It took me 3 hard days to get into ketosis.

I am on holiday next week & I really hope that I can stick to it. I may move on to SS+ so i can have a meal in the evening and hope remain on ketosis.

Do you have much weight to lose? I need to lose 4 stones Shock

The thought of having the bars in week 2 is what's keeping me going at the moment..... oh and a of coke zero every evening :o

My friend did the cambridge lost loads of weight and it stayed off for a while.
Then she develpoed a stomach problem because of it and ended up having to have surgery!!

She piled the weight back on in the end. Just be aware of the dangers of dieting like this ladies I know its initially very effective but to what cost Xx

I am doing it - been doing it badly since Feb 17th! Lost nearly 2 stone (depending on whos scales), it's bloody hard! I do great for a few days, then think I can get away with a little cheat and before I know it I have stayed the same for weeks, or put a few lbs back on without even really having a decent meal or anything. I bulk bought a months worth with DH, we got a discount but still cost £350!! It should all be finished now, but we are only 1/2 way through it because we both skips shakes, or cheat abit.

I have just failed a part of something I was losing the weight for, so motivation is very low at the moment for it.

It is a great diet, if you can stick to it - really great when daily you see lbs come off, but as soon as I had a mouthful of pasta I really bloated.

I should have been finished by now, but I still have about 3-4 stone to go. I went from (on my scales) 13 st to 11 st 4-8 (depending on time of day)

The real key is the actually drink the water they say - that is when I have lost most weight.

I'm about to restart so would love to have some support. Waiting to hear from my CDC.

I've tried this diet a few times but haven't had the willpower to stick to it! I have all of the stuff here to start again and I'm thinking tomorrow is the day!! How is everyone doing?

I've got back from holiday and I was not able to stick to the diet.

I've re-started and I'm now on Day 5. I'm hoping that I can make it through week 1 but have a BBQ on sat and a garden party on sunday to get to. So far so good though.

It's not easy to fit in with the social side of things is it? Having a bad breath also knocks my confidence even though I'm using mouth spray.

I'm on day five too LondonST! I'm struggling a bit today, really hungry, shake time soon though. I'm not an overly social person so when I did go out I took a ready made carton.

hangingonathread - go for it!!! The weight comes off quickly if you stick to it.

crazychicken - have you heard from your CDC yet?

asecretlemonadedrinker - are you trying to be 100% now? Perhaps sole source isn't the best plan you for? Maybe try a higher one?

How is everyone doing?

I'm weighing myself tomorrow and it'll be good to see how much weight I have lost in one week. Can't believe that I have stuck to the diet without cheating :)

I am stiil trying to decide if I should do this. Done 1 week of w8 to go 2 years ago and lost 7 pounds in that week with s few cheats. However as I ttc I stopped. I have 5 stones to lose and cant face the long wait of dropping 2lbs weekly, even if thats the healthy way. I have 2 friends who lost loads and have kept it of.

Hi all! I'm on day 7 after restarting, I had to stop because of pregnancy. I had lost 2.5 stones in 6 weeks so I'm hoping for ace results this time as I have a whopping 6 stone of baby weight to lose.Sad

I'm starting this on Thursday - I'm seeing a councillor on Wednesday evening for the first time!! I'm feeling quite excited about starting this, probably because I haven't actually started it and don't realise what I'm letting myself in for ! Grin

I have 4 stones to lose, and I've tried everything else. I seem to have a problem with food in that I can't stop eating. I don't have any control over food at all and spend most of everyday thinking what can I eat, what shall I eat, can't eat that - sod it I'll just eat it......... so I think taking food out of the equation is what I need to re think my whole attitude and stop the emotional eating and eating for reasons other than I'm hungry.

I'm also excited about actually losing some weight, rather than 1 lb here and there, then putting it back on because I eat too much!

Anyway, would be good to have some support on here and find out how everyone is doing. Smile

Can I join please? Starting LL tomorrow and just need to get through the first 3 days and then it's a breeze - once I'm in ketosis I love it - have loads of energy and I sleep really well and I have so much more TIME! I must spend so much time eating and thinking about food it's ridiculous.

VeryStressedMum - good luck with Thursday - Minimins is a great site for Cambridge or LL (well all diets actually) too

VeryStressedMum · 18/09/2011 11:05

Thanks Wrecka Smile good luck with LL, my friend did LL a few years ago and lost 5 stones, so I know it works and I'm hoping Cambridge will do the same for me!
I feel quite rubbish a lot of the time and am convinced it's because of my eating habits so hopefully I'll feel much better too.

I've never heard of minimins I'll check it out, thanks. And keep us updated with your progress.

Well done! Is this in your first week? I started today and the shakes are disgusting! I had a cappuccino one earlier and even after I put 3 spoons of coffee in it I had to hold my nose and just get it down.
I'm now drinking the chocolate one which isn't as bad - I'm pretending it's hot chocolate Smile. I bought 7 cappuccino's to have one a day now I'm regretting it!
But hoping for a good loss next wednesday evening, it better be worth it!

(wreckajones here with a namechange) Well done VSM & PoQ - have lost 8 lb since Monday. VSM - have you tried it with ice in a blender? I live on the vanilla LL shakes with coffee and ice and imagine they're frappes.
