Please say yes!
I weigh more in the days before my period. It goes back to normal as my period ends. Can vary by about four pounds sometimes.
Thanks for the reply. I'm really hoping this is the reason I have gained and not lost weight this week!
Can I be nosey and ask how much weight we're talking about here? Because I think up to about 5lbs is reasonably average.
I should have been on target to lose 1-2 lb. Instead I have gained 1.5lb. So a potential difference of up to 3.5lb.
IME I would say that could definitely be down to your period.
Yes, it is water retention.
yes- a few lb heavier
Yes, same here, about 4 lbs as well.
Deffo yes. I gain up tp 71b before my period and even though i know it's temporary, i still get upset about it.
Well I've magically dropped 2.5lb overnight and my period should end today. Good news all round .
It's recommended that you don't weigh yourself just when you're due, and for the next 5 odd days, which is torture when you want to see one, tangible result of your hard work!I went up only 2lbs but it was hard not to feel demotivated, even though I knew exactly why!
I can gain anything from 2lbs up to 7 lbs (really!) in the week ebfore my period.
Yeah, up to about 6lb in the preceeding days.
Yes, same here - up to 7lb gained in the week beforehand and during. Is quite astonishing really!
God yes - loads more. All seems to be pee/water retention - I pee like an elephant as soon as I've started <way too much information).
Wow, I'm amazed that it can be up to half a stone for some of you .
Bizarrely, no. It doesn't seem to make any actual weight difference with me. But boy, do I ever FEEL uncomfortably fat and bloated when I have my period!!
It's so fucking annoying! I often pee alot around my period time too, bladder seems more irritable and I just bloat up.
ooh just read that hassled pisses lots too <relieved. literally>
