Want to lose four stone in time for the first of three weddings we have this year. Would love help, advice, moral support from anyone who wants to join me thanks xxx

glitterkitty Mon 27-Dec-10 12:45:17

I'll join!

I have 3st to lose- determined to get it off by summer, want to ponce about in my old jeans and be able to do up shoes- so fat I struggle to bend!

Whats your starting weight? Mines 12st (UGH) and I'll be starting on New Years day (too much Xmas food in house at mo- plus its my birthday tommorow!)

I'll be doing a ww/dukan stylee diet combined with running (UGH UGH) and 30 day shred DVD (when it arrives, thanks Amazon... hmm)

How will you be proceeding clpmum? When you starting? Shall we havbe a weekly weigh in day?

I'm in (although I'm only starting at new year!). I'm a bridesmaid in early June and my dress is currently 3 sizes too small! If I don't fit in it I'm in big trouble as they don't make that style anymore so I can't just swap it for a bigger size, eek!!!

MadameGazelle Mon 27-Dec-10 13:02:50

I'm in - need to lose 2.5 stone and would love to do it in time for my summer holiday in June. Got a wiu fit and the 30 day shred for Christmas and am planning on combining this with good old calorie counting

MadameGazelle Mon 27-Dec-10 13:03:37

Wii not wiu!

Just looked on amazon for shred DVD and it looks brilliant. Ice ordered it so will hopefully be here in time for start of the diet

MissAnthrope Mon 27-Dec-10 15:41:22

I'm in, and want to lose a similar amount by June ready for ball season.

I'm going to try low carbing, and start running again. Once that's sorted I'm planning to get shredding too.

ValiantEffort Mon 27-Dec-10 15:50:40

Me too!

I want to lose 50 pounds by summer. I've not planned how to yet though.

Busy weekend next weekend so will start on Monday 3rd!

Jenda Mon 27-Dec-10 17:19:37

im in, oh god im in. i can definitely grab some more blubber than i could a few weeks ago!Have about 4 stone to lose and also have weddings this year, arrrgh! MUST GET SLIM!

MrsDingDongMerrily Mon 27-Dec-10 17:31:05

I also want to lose 3 stone this year, I go to the gym infrequently and am size 16-18. We got Wii fit a few weeks ago but haven't really got started with it yet. I've looked at the shred DVD, looks a bit scary!

I think Tuesdays are a good day for weigh ins, you've got Monday to reverse the excesses of the weekend.

ceebeegeebies Mon 27-Dec-10 17:33:24

I don't quite have 3 stone to lose...lost 3.5 stone 2 years ago (but never shifted the last half a stone!) but have since put a stone back on so now have 1.5 stone to lose so I will join in if that is ok?

Last time I did it using Weight Loss Resources and exercise - I actually love exercise and am a bit of a gym bunny but I also love food hence the weight issue wink

Am starting next Saturday though - too much tempting food in the house until then.

stickersarecurrency Mon 27-Dec-10 17:41:29

Oh oh me me me! I'm 13st 5lb so have a similar amount to lose. I'm EBFing DC2 but I've got access to a gym, Wii Fit and Just Dance and a few DVDs so should manage to spare time for exercise. I too tree Weight Loss Resources a couple of years back and found it really helpful. Definitely not starting til next week - in fact I'm off to open the huge box of chocs that's currently calling my name blush

stickersarecurrency Mon 27-Dec-10 17:44:10

used not tree!

ceebeegeebies Mon 27-Dec-10 17:45:43

Sorry - forgot to put my starting weight which I actually won't know until my first weigh-in on Saturday morning but am guessing it is going to be somewhere around 13st 7lbs...and I want to be between 11 1/2 stone and 12 stone (I am tall and big framed so that would take me to a size 12-14 which is perfect for me).

mummyosaurus Mon 27-Dec-10 17:55:47

I'll join. Could do with losing 5 stone really. Have been doing Slimming world for two years and only lost 1 stone (keep putting it back on then taking it off a few pounds at a time).

clpsmum Mon 27-Dec-10 18:17:28

Great that there are so many of us to support each other. How about we all start on or after 2nd jan and do a weekly weigh in on the day that suits best. You've all got me really fired up and motivated now

IWillCountToThree Mon 27-Dec-10 18:23:18

Ooh yes! I've GOT to look good for my brother's wedding in April! I have about 4st to loose but will settle for 2 by april, just enough so i have to have my dress taken in.

Starting weight: blush 17st 5lb blush

Go Mon 27-Dec-10 18:32:42

Can I join in please? My plan was to lose 1 stone per term this year, when I started in September. Managed to shift 12lbs, but have since gained 3 blush so have only lost 9lbs. Really want to lose 33lbs by the start of the summer holidays. Will be starting when the kids go back to school, with a combination of low-cal and exercise. Good luck everyone.

LadyintheRadiator Mon 27-Dec-10 18:33:00

I'm in. I want to lose 2 stone. I did start to lose weight this time last year then unknowingly got pregnant - well DD is ten weeks now and I have got to quite literally get my arse into gear. I need to use the car less for one thing - I do so many short journeys in it because it is just easier with the two of them blush and I need to cut out chocolate - I really do, for dental reasons as well so I hope this will serve as extra motivation.

I really rate Paul Mckenna's system and CD for changing attitude towards food and portions. I do want to cut out chocolate (I need so much root canal work ) but I don't want to demonise entire food groups. My friend has just had a baby too and is going to do WW so I might tag along but not sure if I can be so by-the-book - I used to be a healthy weight by just eating what I liked and being active, not over-indulging, that is what I'd like to be like again...

elliepac Mon 27-Dec-10 18:44:26

Can I join please smile. I have absolutely no idea what I weigh apart from too much. I have a simple plan which involves not eating crap and stop sitting on my derriere all the time. grin. I am planning to start on 5th January when I go back to work after Christmas.

mmmmmchocolate Mon 27-Dec-10 18:46:31

Hi ladies! Can I come along for the ride?! Dd2 is almost 7 months now so I think I've had enough good grace! 4 stone sounds good but I'd be happy with 2 for a start. I'm not sure of my weight as I weigh myself in pounds am in denial grin but I think it's about 18 and a half stone hmm I want to be able to get comfortably into a size 16 (I'm about a 22 right now) I also go back to work at the end of march and need to get back into my size 18 uniform.
I think I'm going to start on Thursday and will post weight then I'm going to do slimfast and try to get running around with the kids a lot more.

clpsmum Tue 28-Dec-10 10:42:55

I've tried slimfast before and not been very successful with it to be honest, not trying to put you off just want to save you money if I can!
Has anyone tried zumba?
