Wynken broke the other thread!

Have been so busy at work, only in the door a few minutes. Haven't eaten yet, but weirdly not hungry.
Must have something otherwise will suddenly get ravenous.
Looks like everyone is doing ok though.
Am actually looking at Shred DVD (Still in its cellophane wrapping!)but too wrecked to start doing it today.

Thanks for starting a new thread, melty Smile

I had parents night tonight, so dropped DD off at my mum's and went back to find cream cakes out awaiting my return, so i had one Blush

Hadn't used any syns today, so I wont have anything else.

I ordered this today for the wii Seemed like a good deal, although not sure what it will be like, but thought it might be quite good fun (or a shock seeing my big blobby body on screen Grin)

Ooooh can I join?

I've been doing SW 4 weeks and have lost 12.5lbs so far.

Made that curried chicken rice again.
Soooo yummy.
Am trying to be healthy again after my few days off at the weekend.
Am trying to work up courage to do the Shred but am scared after reading the shred thread.

Someone said after doing it they wished they lived in a bungalow because the stairs were so difficult!
I did bodypump back in the dark ages when I was skinny(er)
And after the first class, (where I didnt use weights, just the bar) I couldnt sit down, stand up from the chair, sit on the loo, run up the stairs for the tube- you get the drift! Grin
I am not sure if I can cope with the pain!!

lost 1lb, not bad, wieghed my self this morning and lost another so must have beent he quiche.
pheonix welcome and well done on the 12.5 loss that is fantastic.
can't even post a link on the old thread so just have to keep this one at the top. I have never been on a thread that has a part 2 before.
right so I have 29 points now, just doinf my days food. also have 49 points for vodka, at 2 points per shot that should definastly be enough, I can also earn extra points by doing evil things like shredding, so when I have a night olut I am not even slipping I am just using all my points.
the new calculator is beyond complex.
so far I am having breakfsat
3 x bacon rasher, poached egg, mushrooms, toast with butter and a banana. 10 points
lunch chicken salad 3 points
dinner chicken and chorizo with rice 13 pp
total 26pp leaving a couple spare for emergencies, of which there is always at least one.

What do you all eat when you eat out? I'm going to London for 2 days next week and don't want to really slip up. We've got a full English included at the hotel so I'll be having that and then walking alot but not sure what to have for the rest of the day, any ideas?

riven you are doing the right thing it works, healthy low fat balanced diet is the way to go for the long term benefit, and lovely to see you back Smile
pheonix, when eating out and about I try to go for things like sushi, plain ish pasta lots of fruit and veg, 2 days wont undo your work so far, just try and use your sw to make the best food choices available to you.

Hi, can I join in?

I've dipped in and out of SW a couple of times this year, lost 12lbs in Feb/Mar, put it back on again, briefly started again in August but was undone by the Humminbird Bakery Cookbook :)

I absolutely need to lose 1.5 stone as even my fat jeans don't fit well. I'm 11.5st and 5'5".

Phoenix · 10/11/2010 08:39

Never had sushi and really don't fancy it tbh.

Welcome to all new people, though I won't be speaking to you if you are going to lose stacks each week like some I won't mention Wink

Riven, green works, hang in there. That's the thing with the net, you get to read so much that it gets confusing. Do know what you mean about the carbs and it has slightly put me off a green day but having done green days in the past I know it works.

Melty I can't bring myself to Shred yet. Ours is a chalet bungalow job and the stairs are steep. Was thinking that if I couldn't get up them then I could swap rooms with DS but we chopped the end of his bed off.

Upsy, 3lbs and 2 stone is fantastic and I am hoping to join you with that tomorrow, not sure if I will make it.

Dita, well done and that quiche pound will show up next week, along side these good losses I keep Reading about from Propoints. I am joining you for a week as of tomorrow as it is the week I stay the same or gain despite being really virtuous on SW so I want to see if shaking things up make a difference. The esource thing makes life much easier, have been bashing recipes in to point them and just so easy on the tracker to point things.

And for the record, I know I broke the old thread but I am a few pounds off the weight I was when pregnant with DS (2nd child) do am nearly the lightest I have neen for 8 years Grin

Emphasis on Red is meat and fish, so as much lean meat, poultry, fish etc as you like and as many veg and fruit apart from spud, parsnips, peas and sweetcorn. 2 Healthy extras B which are things like potato, pasta, cereal. 1 or 2 Healthy Extra A's.

Extra Easy is good though. Anything free on both green and red as long as you have a third of your plate with superfree (fruit and veg apart from pots etc as above). 1 Healthy extra A and 1 healthy extra B, syns 5-15 on all plans.

Phoenix, do you like things like jacket beans and spud, steaks with new pots and salad, pasta with tomato sauce or spag bol, ideally bulked up with some salad, you'd just have to syn the oil in the sauce. Chinese restaurant, chow meins are low syn, chicken chop suey with boiled rice. Indian, chicken or lamb rogan are about 6.5 syns and chicken dansak 6 I think, you'll need to check but roughly that. Have with boiled rice and they fit in nicely. Maybe buy pots of ready prepared fruits to munch on during the day between meals to bulk up your superfree over the course of the day.

Just had a sneaky peep on the wii and think I am likely to lose 2.5lbs and end up 0.5lb from my two stone which will be hugely annoying. I'll get my 10% though. Will see though what happens, have another day so there is still a chance. If I don't do it, I'm never having another 5 syn week again as not worth it unless really decent loss.

Hi everyone, welcome to the new ladies and well done on the losses Grin Just marking my place really, as doing my WI at WW tomorrow and checking out PP.

Riven I did a red yesterday - 2 x HE A&B loads of fruit, veg and meat, no spuds, pasta or rice unless you sin it - In my case that meant toast & fruit for breakfast, cheese on toast with diced onion underneath and a blob of ketchup for lunch (pretendy pizza) and a kebab thing made with chicken, peppers, mushrooms, onions etc and salad for dinner plus several muller lights and fruit thru the day. Had low fat halloumi, which was truly evil!

Can I join? I'm about to start again this week and its been ages since I've been to SW. I lost 3.5st on it last time round in about 9 months and I'm hoping for a repeat performance, though I think with DDs to look after this time (and still BFeeding) it might be a slower burn.

I've forgotten how it all works so I think some support on here will be just what I need. I'm going to dig out my old books and have a read before I go tonight, I think I'll start off just sticking to green days, I found that worked last time so I stuck to it.

I really, really want to stick to it, I can't stand being this huge Sad

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 10/11/2010 09:44

Dita, don't be too impressed - I then have another 3 stone to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight with DD, she is nearly 12. And then I have the two stone I should have lost before getting pregnant in the first place ! I haven't been properly thin since I was about 21 one which is now 20 years ago, how depressing is that. On the plus side I will find myself thin and fabulous for my 40s which can't be bad and DD noticed yesterday that I'd lost some more weight. What's done is done with the last few years, I guess all we can do is hope to goodness everything holds up OK and deal with what we end up with

Riven, green good in this weather. Just be a little careful and have a session going through the things you eat on the computer and checking syns because they keep changing them and some stuff that was free is now syned, depending on how long ago you did SW last.

Kungfu, the 2 weeks free trial on WW is well worth doing (though you need to cancel or will get charged), really helps you sort out how it works at the beginning.

Bonnie welcome. Green days are great but maybe think about having a go at Extra Easy. Not everyone gets on with it but loads of people do. Most of our class do it now and our consultant says that weight losses are well up since EE came in. It fits very easily with family meals and a slow cooker is fab, just right for this time of year. I think you get extra Healthy Extras whilst breastfeeding, someone else will know what they currently are.

GoingToBonnieDoon · 10/11/2010 10:03

Thanks Wynken, I never got the hang of EE last time round, not sure if I just did it wrong or whether it just didn't suit me or what. I thought this time if I could get rid of the first stone on good old fashioned green then I can try to mix things up a little!!

Feel v nervous about starting, I was so committed last time I'm not sure I'll manage the same commitment again.
