Weighed in and have lost the holiday kilo. So back to 15 st 3. Am still amazed that I only gained a kilo. There was NO restraint!

Goal now to get to 15 st.

Fab idea on the new thread. UNDERTONE: maybe I am being a little preachy - I did tell a co-worker (who eats at least one pack of crisps a day & is overweight) that a pack of crisps a day adds up to 10 litres of oil a year!

So now I don't mention a thing diet & exercise wise

Actually while I am here, I need picnic ideas.

Am off to lido (haha) today with friends and dd's they have banana bread and sarnies and crisps etc because it s afun picnic day.

All I have is fruit to share with DD's. I can't take ryvita and mackerel and cream cheese as it smells and doesn't travel well. And a salad is soooo boring.

what do suggest for good picnic food?

Morning all! Lovely new thread. I like what you've done with the place.

Joby - preach at us all you want. We won't get upset when you say crisps are full of oil - we'll frown and nod and slap you on the back .

Weighed this morning and was 13 stone 3. Woo! Amazingly down from 13 stone 6.2 last week. 3.2lbs loss, which is waaay too fast, really. I'm a bit Hmm about it and am now wondering if I should weigh tomorrow as well to see if it's a blip.

But I'm prancing around work in a slim-fitted shift dress with my arms out. Colleagues are agog that I used to be 15 stone 6 just 6 months ago.

I'm down at my parents house this weekend so eating anormous meals served by my mum will put too-fast weight loss right, no doubt. Confused

Well done Buda and Ilythia and all losers still to post. Welcome teflon!

Ilythia : how about carrot battons & salsa?

Undertone: I snorted my drink when you said colleagues were agog! love that word

BudaisintheZONE · 13/08/2010 10:45

Wow Undertone!! Great result! And hopefully not a blip. Your exercise will maybe mean that some weeks you lose a bit more than others. for some reason. Not sure why but I seem to remember that!

Hi Joby - wise move to say no more at work. I do remember when I was not in the frame of mind I am in now that a comment like that about the crisps (although obv well intentioned) would have made me feel guilty and defensive. So say nothing. Keep on at what you are doing. If and when colleagues are ready they will join you and if not, then they won't.

Welcome teflon too! Sorry for reason for your loss but you are right to grab this opportunity and you will feel SO much better without that weight hanging around (not saying if I mean H or actual weight!!).

Ilythia - hmm. Healthy picnic food. Hard one. Oatcakes with some low fat philly and some salsa for taste? Cold chicken? Ham and low fat Philly rolled up? Couple of hard boiled eggs? Tuna salad - everything chopped up REALLY small.

Hello im newish (never posted) and would like to join you if i may?

Im currently about 14st 4lb and need not to be. I ideally would like to aim to be 13st to start with and take it from there.

I have been trying to lose baby weight (baby is 2 1/2) and it aint happening! and need a hard kick up the behind!

I also have just been measured up for a new work uniform and the trousers are a smidgen to tight so i want to be able to wear them and breathe by the time they arrive.

And finally i have just come back from visiting my sisters and for the millionth year running i have come back depressed because im fat and they are thin .

hi everyone

cornsilk -

hi everyone else! Ilythia, I'd second Madeindevon's suggestions for the picnic! Sounds divine. I also love cooked brocolli in salads.

I have been away from the thread a while, period of biffing Blush but I'm now back on it with a vengeance. Have a Legs Bums and Tums class this lunchtime, I also went to one on Tuesday. I haven't had any refined sugar snacks/biscuits/crisps/choc for 5 days and drinking lots more water. I ordered Shred this morning so should have that by next week, I'm figuring I could do it before work in the mornings (dont really have time to go to gym before work, but think I could fit in a 20 min shred in my front room).

Hope everyone else is ok. Undertone you are a machine!!! well done. Joby - you can be preachy on this thread! I like factoids and interesting weight-loss related stuff, but I find if I go on about it too much I annoy bore colleagues/friends... Hmm

Hello, found you all. Smile

I have lost no weight this week and have done no exercise BUT I have managed to lay off the alcohol for two nights on the trot which is amazing...

Weight in at 12st 7lbs.

I am getting my head around it all and know that I am heading in the right direction and will hopefully be in the Zone by this time next week. Grin

No crisps allowed in this household now either as one packet leads to four.

cornsilk, STOP BEING A PIG

It won't make you happy, you know.

Well done losers!

I must be strong, regardless of other shit in my life as I go back to uni in 3 weeks and it is my sisters wedding in 8 weeks, and I need to lose a bit mroe weight to be confident.
I want to be a size 16 by the wedding I reckon, am just into an 18 now so that is doable.

I definitely need some straight-talking bitches in my life Grin(my RL friends are way too nice ... and all thin but I digress) so could I join too??

I'm 13st 13 and should really be no heavier than 12st (don't actually think I would manage to get much below that as was always heavy even when slim many moons ago). DC2 will be 3 in November so no excuse there ...
