Help needed with wedding present ideas

We are going to an evening reception of one of DHs work colleagues who are in their forties, second (or third marriage), and are emigrating a few months after the wedding. What the heck can we get them as a gift?

I'd normally try to think of a wrappable present, but as they are emigrating, how about a voucher to spend at a home or garden store when they get there, for their new home? Or you could give them an IOI for something that could be delivered to them once they arrive?

Maybe vouchers for lastminute.com or similar?

hmm, vouchers may be the way to go, its just not something I'm particularly fond of. Thanks all.

have a look under the wedding and other gift section of this website - they have some nice ideas.

If they're emigrating - something for their new home could be nice too (but small). eg if they're going somewhere sunny you could get them something cute for a garden or something similar?

I mean this seriously...

Is it an option to get them nothing?

not an option, no.

Something downloadable, like music on iTunes?

Or tickets for a show, somewhere near their new home?

thanks tinfoil. They are moving to the far east, so that may not be too easy to arrange.

amazon or itunes vouchers

unimaginative but international

I vote Amazon for maximum coverage / options as to what they spend it on - wrap it around a bottle of nice champagne and label it as being to spend on something for their new home when they get there?

thanks MrsB and stealthsquiggle, I think I may do that, a bottle of champagne with an amazon voucher may just do the job nicely (even though I don't really like giving vouchers, don't think I really have a choice this time).
