Wedding dress dilemma

I bought a wedding dress yesterday but now I'm wondering if its too much.

It's my second wedding and there are only going to be 23 of us for a relaxed weekend in a barn with an outdoor humanist ceremony.

The dress I bought is like this www.wed2b.co.uk/abilene
but I'm now thinking it might just be too formal.

I have bought this one to change into in the evening - uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_1.2/7451100206
and now I'm wondering whether I should just wear it all day instead?

I have also bought this one as an alternative dress to wear during the day and then change into my evening dress.

My OH doesn't want me to wear a big wedding dress so I thought a shorter wedding dress would be perfect but now I'm thinking maybe the two long dresses would be better for the more relaxed vibe I'm after.

The wedding is in August and the ceremony is outdoors

I'm a size 20 and losing weight/toning up so I feel confident about wearing the longer slimmer dresses.

I just don't know what to do - I'd welcome any advice please. I've got 14 days to take the original dress back.

The Monsoon one is lovely and would work for the whole day I think. Much nicer than the other two.

I agree. Just wear the Monsoon one all day - I don't really get the point of changing anyway. It's an expensive and lovely dress - why only wear it for part of the celebration?

I'd go with the Phase Eight one. Not keen on the other 2.

The Monsoon one is stunning! I'd just wear that all day tbh

I much prefer the short one. Without the veil it would be more casual. I’m not sure why you’d need a second dress, you could easily wear that all day.

My fav is the Phase 8 one

I Iike the Monsoon one best.
Did you get it in blue or pink?

I love the monsoon one, you’ll feel cool and relaxed and wonderful. The first one is very pretty and weddingy, I’m afraid the last one reminds me a bit of curtains!

It’s your wedding dress so go with what you want, don’t let anyone including your husband to be sway you on the style you want.

I agree the monsoon one is beautiful and would work for the whole day.

I love the first one! The other two are just not bridal enough for me. I don't think the first one OTT for your plans either.

I like the short & Monsoon dress. The Monsoon dress would work for the full day.

Wear what you want op, and what makes you feel happy & special.

Congratulations 🥳

I like the wed2be dress but to me it doesn’t fit with “weekend in a barn, outdoor ceremony”. Either of the others would be lovely.

Go with what you want OP as opposed to your other half, it's your day. I like the WED2be dress.

I like the first one. It's obviously bridal but because of the length it's as in your face bridal

The monsoon one is too bridesmaid although lovely

I'm not that keen on the other one

Keep the first two (well I would). I had two dresses and it was great on the day but even better for the pictures.

I LOVE the Wed2Be dress and I don't think it's too much at all.

Def not the 1st or last one. Both a bit old fashioned, tbh.

But the Monsoon one is gorgeous. I'd wear that all day. It's really simple and elegant.

They are ALL beautiful.
Why does he not want you to wear a wedding dress?
You could wear the Monsoon one all day .

The short "wedding " dress is lovely.

My choice would be , the wedding dress , then Monsoon dress in evening.

Chochito · 17/01/2020 21:14

The wedding dress and Monsoon dress are both gorgeous. If you want to wear them both, do it. Whatever makes you feel best on your special day, OP.

Lefkosia · 17/01/2020 21:15

The wedding dress is lovely the other two are a bit...meh

If you want a wedding dress though you should get one. It's not up to your OH what you wear and the short one is a good compromise.

I love the wed2b dress (i got mine from there :) ), my one worry is if its an outdoor wedding, i presume you can go into the barn for the ceremony as a back up if it rains, if not i'd get the monsoon dress as it would work better from a practical sense outdoors.

The Monsoon one seems like a beach wedding type dress to me.

I love love love the monsoon dress. And you could wear it again at events with a nice jacket or stole over it and feel special because it’s your wedding dress - and nobody there need know if you choose not to tell them! They’ll just think it’s a beaut. And the price is amazing too.
