Would this dress be ok to add sleeves?

So I went dress shopping and fell in love with this gorgeous stella york gown which I really do absolutely love!! I love the way it fits my body and love the gorgeous lace. I'm just a bit sad that it doesnt have sleeves. I've always pictured myself in a gown with sleeves as my granny had a beautiful dress with lace sleeves and I always said I wanted similar! Anyway I dont know how easy it would be and if I'd need to get a specific lace or if my dress would even look ok if I were to add sleeves?? I'm thinking just below the elbow length? Anyway what are your opinions? Would it look ok? Would It be relatively easy for a good seamstress to add sleeves?? I'll add a pic of my veil too

Thank you so much!

It's a beautiful dress up, I think I if you can get a la e the same as the too then sleeves would look nice

Or even just a mesh style sleeve with no pattern on, like the top part.

My friend had a similar dress but wanted sleeves. She found a lace bolero that was very close in style to the lace on the dress. Once it was on you couldn't tell it was separate to the dress. Would something like that work?

I assume it is being made to order?
Can you order is with sleeves,, or ask for a length of the lace to get your own seamstress to make sleeves

I'm not sure...while that style would look good if it had sleeves (wrist length better than 3/4 imo) I think it might look odd if it wasn't the same as the mesh/lace on the bodice, especially the wrist trim.

£300 is amazing! And it fits you like a glove.
I would see if you can find a dressmaker who specialises in bridal alterations and ask them about suitable lace.
I agree that wrist length sleeves might look better.

Full length sleeves in a matching lace fabric?

Lace bolero would be perfect!

I think it looks great on you as it is. But maybe it depends on when your wedding is - if it's likely to be warm I'd be inclined leave it, but if it's in a chilly month and you might get goosebumps then it's nice to have some coverage. (My wedding was in December and the dress was somewhat similar - with lace neck and long sleeves)
