Las Vegas Wedding - the to do list??

We're planning on getting married in Vegas next year, no guests - just us(maybe my fiancé's DF as he lives in the US). I was wondering if anyone else here has and what my to do list is from the start to finish(when we fly back home). I've done some research but I'm still unsure on a few things still, like do we need to give our notice of marriage here in the UK even though we're getting married in the US or does the marriage license issued in Las Vegas replace this? Will my name automatically change and be recognised in the UK or do I have to go through some process to update my surname? We also have a DD who will be 2 then, would you recommend her coming along or should we sort for her to stay back here with family for the one week or so? There's just so much I need to know but eek this is so exciting!! Thanks in advance

Also should probably mention that we are after a photographer as well but there's so many online, how would we go about that? Something cheap and cheerful Grin

We got married in Las Vegas. I organised everything over the web and booked a wedding package at one of the big hotels. It included the ceremony itself, a wedding planner, flowers and photos. Other than that, the only official thing we had to do was apply and get the license the day before. It was all easy just a short trip to the County Offices.

@ilovespinach ahh sounds so easy! Did you have to give your notice of marriage here in the UK? In terms of the marriage licenses, should we pre-apply online and just collect when we get to Vegas or is there a guarantee that when we go there to apply, we will get the license straight away?

I'm not sure of the procedure in the Uk as we live elsewhere.....

We just turned at the County Offices one or two days before the ceremony and were able to get a license straight away. You should be able to check online what the requirements are...I think we just had to fill out some forms and show our passports....From what I remember it was really easy

Don’t take your two year old to Vegas. It would mean that you can’t go in any bars or gamble etc.

You won't need to give notice of marriage in the UK just get yourself a licence from the office in downtown Vegas. Personally I'd not take a child to Vegas but people do you just aren't allowed on the casino floors or in bars with children but there are other things to see.

You have to re-register your child’s birth. 😂 www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-to-re-register-a-childs-birth-following-marriage-of-natural-parents
I don’t actually know anyone who has ever done this.
