Where to get married in Glasgow secretly?

My and DP have decided to get married with just two witnesses in Glasgow but not sure where we could.

Does anyone have any ideas of venues that could do a simple basic ceremony without costing the earth?

We did it at a random bit at the side of Loch Lomond. Thoroughly recommended it Smile

The registry offices at George Square and Park CIrcus are both lovely.

Not Glasgow but we used a registry office and just paid the fees. No cost for venue. It was super fancy.

You could get married in your living room if you want to keep it that small!
Alternatively the registry office would be another option. I believe they have moved again from Park Circus.

Sadly, park circus is now closed. It was a beautiful building, used to be the Italian consulate. You can get married at city chambers they have very nice rooms. You can look up Glasgow city council website and it’ll let you book your about submitting wedding notice forms.

in Scotland a notice is placed in public outside registry office of weddings due to take place for so many weeks before to cover the legal aspect however despite it being displayed in public no-one twigged when Gordon Brown the ex PM got married
also in Scotland it is the person that takes the wedding ie the registrar the Minister or Priest that is registered not the building, so if you can persuade a minister to go to the top of Ben Lomond you can get married there
there is a link to our local council so 2 witnesses and you and DP in Helensburgh office would be £125 Monday-Friday £60 for the processing of the 2 forms to check you can marry etc, £10 for the certificate and £55 for the ceremony

Park circus was lovely but city chambers is also nice and it is such a handy location.

please note you have to give the name and addresses of the witnesses on the forms so you can't have randoms off the street in Scotland

forms must be submitted no earlier that 3 months before wedding and no later than 29 days before
