Wedding venue help! Scotland

Can anyone recommend any nice places to get married in Scotland?
Not for a massive wedding thinking around 40 guests. I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall trying to pick somewhere. All the hotels locally have been done to death and I want something a bit different. Stay in central Scotland but happy to travel! (As are our guests) thanks!

Check out Fingask castle. They have different spaces for smaller or larger parties. You get exclusive use and all your guests could stay in cottages onsite while you have the bridal suite. The castle sits in the most beautiful valley, half way between Perth and Dundee.

I paid £3000 (2016) to hire the site. Fingask run the bar and you choose a caterer on their list (which has companies for all tastes and budgets).

What’s about a DIY site like Duntarvie castle or Comrie croft?

Near kincardine. Used to be a sort of cafe/farm shop, now changed to wedding venue.

Do Historic Scotland still hire out castles? We had our reception at one but it was many years ago.

I love Springkell. It’s south Scotland- nearly Carlisle but it’s just off the M74 really easy to get too. The service from the family that own the house is exceptional www.springkell.com/

Have a look at Cromlix. It's ideal for smaller weddings and the food, service, venue and grounds are all amazing.

I got married on Incholm Island, hired the ferry and had the island to ourselves for 2hours. We were allowed to take drinks reception with us etc. It was beautiful

Winton Castle. It has lots of history attached to it, I'm not sure if a website would do it full justice. I went to view it for a conference venue and was blown away by how lovely it was.

@combatbarbie are there any hotels on the island, or do you come back on the ferry after the wedding?
