(36 Posts) Has anyone bought their dress from Wed2b? Or tried their dresses on? Wondering what the quality is like compared to more boutique shops. Also do you take the dress away to get altered yourself? Thanks
Yes I got mine there, I think the quality is beautiful. they don’t do alterations but can recommend seamstresses in the area, you take the dress with you and sort out alterations yourself.
They sponsor a few wedding type programmes on tv so should be ok
I tried a few on and was very pleasantly surprised! I personally couldn’t tell a huge difference between them and a £2k one a pushy bridal shop owner insisted I try....
I didn’t end up buying from there in the end, but I would have done with no worries.
I got my dress from there and IMO it’s absokutely beautiful.
I tried quiet a few on, they didn’t have a lot of the designs I wanted so was a little disappointed but I know I’m fussy.
Ah that's great to know people have had positive experiences. They do look lovely on the website. I was wondering if all stores stock all the dresses so probably be worth me checking with my local store if they have in the ones I want to try.
I went with my friend recently and we had a good experience in the Rotherham store. I suppose it depends exactly what you’re looking for but they had loads of lovely designs that look like more expensive dresses to me! My friend came away with a gorgeous dress from a past season that was less than £100 she took the dess away there and then so you have to get it altered yourself. definitely worth a look at least.
They were lovely. I got my dress elsewhere as I didn’t want to arrange my own alterations. I did fall in love with a dress from there.
I got mine there. They only have what they have on the shop floor so if they are low on stock that day you might have better luck another day. If there's one you like online i think it tells you which store currently have it. Worth going as you can try lots on and you know the price range they'll be in. I'd try and go during the week as they are busy on Saturdays and you can only take 5 dresses in at a time before you have to join the back of the trying on queue.
If you're quite a standard/proportional size you might not even need alterations - my sister is a proportional size 10, around 5'6 and just wore it straight off the rack 😱 looked amazing too. Around £200 I think - mine was almost 10x that and it was definitely not 10x nicer!
I popped in today so my bridesmaid could try the bridesmaid dresses on. I found them to be lovely but pretty basic. Will be going back for sure to try the wedding dresses to see how they feel. I like loads online so hopefully they'll have something in that I like.
OP definitely make a list of the names of the dresses you like online and call up wed2bes central operator and ask if they have them in stock in your size (go up one size for bridal compared to your normal). Most only stock a couple in each size and once they're gone they're gone, I liked lots online and went to one and they didn't have any of those in my size! They were nice dresses in store and helpful girls so if I'd found one I liked I wouldn't have hesitated buying from there though
Thank you. I did message web2b through Facebook & the basically said what you just said. Will probably be just my luck they won't have the ones in I want to try which is why I've stopped looking at them online as can't go for a couple of weeks. Still excited to see what they have tho. I feel like my dress is their waiting for me to find it!
Let them make suggestions for you too - even if they don't have what you want to try on in your size, they might have something else! That's what happened for me, and I love my wed2b dress 😃
I got mine from there then paid £130 to have it adjusted.
They were very helpful in there and the quality of dresses were just as good as other boutiques that I went to
I've been and enjoyed playing dress up but when it came to finding the dress it wasnt for me! It was a lot more rushed and the dresses weren't as good however I think it definitely is worth a shot as lots of people love it.
Said yes to my wed2b dress today!! They had so many I wanted to try on but as fate would have it they only had 2 of them in stock in my size & they were my top 2!! I found the quality to be just as good as ones I've tried in a boutique store & the lady who was helping me was much more attentive than the lady in the "proper" bridal shop. Fab experience & so pleased with my dream dress!
Congratulations OP! Are we allowed to see pics?!
Congratulations! 🥂
Yay! I got mine from there. I loved it. Found a local company to do alterations. Dress was everything I hoped for
Not ready for anyone to see it yet haha. It fitted lovely, just need the length adjusting. So pleased. It's a big thing ticked off the list. Although quite weird to go dress shopping for a dress I can't wear for a year...well I could prance around in it I suppose but most likely I'd spill something on it. I think it's safer in its box. Lol. Love that they do the storage boxes too at reasonable prices. The net they make you wear over your face to protect the dresses from your make up is a fab idea as I was a bit worried about having other people's make up marks on it (like when picking my bridesmaid dress from Debenhams
...we ordered a nice new clean one online)
I have never heard of this place but totally going to have a look at it now
Glad you said yes to the dress op! I would totally be wanting to prance about the house in it!
Just be aware not to fall in love with too many of the dresses on their website incase your local store doesn't have them. Would defo recommend going tho. Half the cost of boutique shops and quality is just as good. Makes you wonder how much these boutiques are pocketing & how much goes to the designers
I also got my dress from wed2be for my wedding last year.
i went for the elle dress..... and it was just a dream.
I'll try not to look at too many online before going
Do they have lots of different styles? We are getting married abroad so I don't really fancy something too heavy
