Start using Mumsnet PremiumLast minute panic about dress
(2 Posts)Hi I am getting married in 6 weeks and having jitters about my dress. I don't know if it is just pre-wedding nerves.
This is my second wedding (after being trapped for many years in an unhappy, abusive marriage). This wedding is the complete opposite to the one I had 18 years ago and I have purposely chosen a different style gown.
I am very petite (5ft) and a size 8/10 and have chosen a strapless, princess style gown. I'm panicking now that the fabric will swamp me ...
It's too late now by far to change the dress and I fell in love with it the minute I put it on but am I going to look ridiculous?
Maybe this isn’t about the dress. Maybe you’re feeling a little triggered because your last marriage was so awful and you were ‘swamped’ - is overwhelmed by an abusive person.
Your instinct is that you love the dress.
You’ll look fab
