I would love to talk to some 2019 brides! I'll be the first to admit I've got stress coming out of my eyeballs! I hate the planning and now wondering if we will even afford it on time Sad
I'm also wondering how to lose weight!! Anybody else?

We wanted August initially but our church couldn't fit us in.
Everything major is booked but omg I'm so stressing, dp is so laid back its actually getting on my tits Grin
Money is my major concern at the moment.
Have you booked all tour big things? X

I’m August next year!

I’ve got most things booked, just sorting invitations this weekend so I can use the Vistaprint Black Friday code!

Hi all,

I'm April next year.

Also doing invitation this weekend because of the Black Friday code. Going to get as much of my stationery as I can while it's cheap.

May 2019 here, I wanted to get it out of the way before hay fever season starts for me... Grin I’ve got tons left to organise!! Luckily it’ll only be a small wedding.
Feel like I should be looking at the vista print offer now, I haven’t started on invitations yet Shock (save the dates have been sent)...

I definitely know what you mean about wanting some stuff done before the festivities. Equally I know that some of my suppliers are busy with Christmas stuff so might be hard to get a hold of.
Vista print offer is on until Tuesday (I think) so hoping to order day and evening invites, place cards and thank you cards while I'm at it. Can't order the menu cards as they are not confirmed so I will have to pay full price for them - although notice vistaprint always seem to have some voucher codes etc.

I've still got quite a lot to do considering it's in April. As previous posters have said it comes down to the finances. We have been saving and worked out what we should have by then to pay for everything then based on what we have budgeted.

So still to do;
-cake
-transport
-bridesmaid dresses
-rings
-invitations (although I'm ordering them, won't post until January)
-apply for marriage schedule

It's starting to feel a bit more real now but I know that I'll get swept up with Christmas so want to try keep on top of things just now.

How's everyone else's plans going?

I’m getting marrried early May & have almost everything done. Invitations to order (not vista print though, am I missing out?!) and just a few bits & pieces really, like shoes & flower girl dress.

29th June here. I have:
Venue
Registrar
Dress
Bridesmaid's dress
Photographer (if he ever sends a contract)
Music

Still need:
Invitations
Shoes
Decorations and flowers
Rings
Fancy bits to buy like make up, shrug etc (but SIL-to-be is helping with hair and make up on the day so that is arranged at least)
Men's clothes
Cake (though I have plan for this)

It's coming together slowly. I'm going to relax until the new year I think then get going on the rest.

Well I had a look at vistaprint but didn’t find an invitation that fits what I have in mind, perhaps I’m being fussy!
You guys lists don’t look so bad compared to mind...

I have:

  • venue
  • registrar
  • dress
  • photographer
  • cake designer
  • sent save the dates
  • ordered confetti (priorities lol)

Still need to sort...

  • Groom and best men’s suit hire
  • Bridesmaid dresses
  • pageboy outfits
  • all flowers & decorations
  • rings
  • invitations
  • shoes and bolero/jacket
  • hair and makeup
  • book wedding dress alterations
  • guest book or alternative
  • entertainment
  • activity packs for kids
  • cheese/sweets/donut cart maybe
  • May need to organise transport for some of the guests
  • decide on music
  • also readings and vows
  • probably other shit I’ve forgotten...

Me too! We get married April 27th and have just sent out invites out this week. I’m hoping they don’t get lost in people post with all the Christmas stuff!

KatyaZamolodchikova · 25/11/2018 21:05

We’re waiting still after Christmas to send invites as I’m worried about them getting mixed up with Christmas cards. It’ll be around three months before. That’s reasonable, right? It’s on a bank holiday weekend so wanted to give plenty of notice, even though we’ve sent save the dates.

I don’t get married until april 2020 Easter Saturday so planning to send invites out about May next year as Easter bank hol is often popular for holidays

This thread is making me get my bum in gear to sort things out!
Stationery ordered yesterday from Vistaprint - not going out until after Christmas but glad to have it. I can hopefully do a few each night through the festive period with a glass of bubbles to keep me going!
DP has settled on a ring so think we are going to arrange that this weekend.
Other than that I think most things will quieten down in the run up to Christmas.

I don't know if there will be any bargains in the Boxing Day sales to keep an eye out for?

Meeeeee!! Second time around for us. No frills, no fuss just very close family, registry office and a good pub lunch. We will then travel to Copenhagen for a stylish city break.

I just want to marry him without any fuss ❤️

That sounds so relaxing Bored! Grin I was hoping to have an elopement wedding at a fancy treehouse venue with zero fuss, but H2B wanted a more “proper” wedding... which I am now being left to organise!!

Getting married April 27th.
Got the dress, photographer, venue, registrar, done notice of marriage, got cake booked, hair booked for the whole party, chosen the bridesmaids dresses which we will buy January, chosen suits for the groomsmen, sent out invitations and have half rvsps back, got a plan for the order of the day, got dj booked, and my hen do is sorted.
Got to book kennels for the dogs, sort vows, buy presents for the wedding party, organise the party games and get a choice of music for dancing.
Then alterations for the dress... I have lost half a stone through lots of gym but hoping to tone up still.
Pretty stress free atm.

Mo mine would elope just the two of us if he had his way. My dc and parents would be gutted though so we compromised. May go into the city centre too on the wedding night for a few cheeky cocktails! Perfect.

Only got engaged at the weekend there but we’ve set the date for 29th April. Going to be a very small affair, registry office followed by party at home but seeing all your lists is making me panic just a bit!
