So this morning I woke up and finally admitted to myself that my wedding dress wasn't the one. I like it and it's nice but I don't love it.

So I confessed to OH this morning and we went shopping. Managed to find an off the peg dress that I love and feel amazing in. It's a little too long but I can manage for a day!

Anyone else had a last minute dress change of heart?

Excuse my face! I'm not good at having my photo taken 😂 something I will work on before Monday!

Beautiful! Have a lovely wedding day! thanks

Chesneyhawkes1 Thu 22-Nov-18 21:29:59

Thank you everyone. I feel so much more confident in this dress. Silly I know. We are off to the Lake District Sunday to get married the next day. Just a small ceremony. Big reception in the new year.

I feel so much more excited now I have a dress I love!

That dress is wonderful on you. Have a wonderful day.

(I'm dying to know what the other dress was like. This dress is perfect for you.)

lapetitesiren Thu 22-Nov-18 21:34:46

You look stunning. The dress is lovely. Have a lovely day

Chesneyhawkes1 Thu 22-Nov-18 21:37:18

This is the first dress. I did like it, I just didn't feel special in it I guess. My Mum paid for it bless her. I felt bad but she understands.

My lovely OH treated me to today's dress. I think I didn't want to feel like a princess, no veil or tiara etc, but today I woke up and realised maybe I did 😂

Oh I think you've made the right choice! The second dress is nice, but the first one is really lovely.

Chesneyhawkes1 Thu 22-Nov-18 21:45:03

@HollowTalk that's how I felt about it lol. It was "nice" which I realised wasn't the look I was going for on my wedding day 😬

Fingers crossed a lovely lady in my village who is a dress maker may be able to take it up a smidge for me before we leave on Sunday 😊

Yes, "nice" isn't what you want, really!

Won't it be hard to take it up?

HollowTalk Thu 22-Nov-18 21:47:08

Higher heels?

Chesneyhawkes1 Thu 22-Nov-18 21:55:36

I'm hoping not! Will find out tomorrow. I love my shoes but I'd be willing to wear higher heels.

Whatever happens I'll get it taken up before the reception so I can dance in it 👍🏻

TeeBee Thu 22-Nov-18 22:50:10

That is one stunning dress. And you look incredible in it. You definitely made the right decision. It's beautiful.

Honeyroar Thu 22-Nov-18 22:51:17

The previous dress is lovely, but it doesn't do half as much for you as the new one.

RitaSueandFatFuckingMavis Thu 22-Nov-18 22:56:34

Stunning.

You'll look amazing and made the right choice.

Chesneyhawkes1 Fri 23-Nov-18 06:37:01

Thank you everyone. I was worried it was a stupid decision so late on, but you've all made me feel better about it.

@HollowTalk I'm going to spend the day trawling the shops for platform heels as I reckon your idea will give me the inches I need 👍🏻
