Photographers?

This seems to be one area where costs can vary wildly! DP and I both hate having our picture taken and always think we look awful in pictures (I’m pretty sure we don’t in real life) so this is one area we’d quite like to invest in to have some pictures we love. There seem to be so many photographers out there, it seems hard to know where to start!

How much did your photographer cost and what was included in the package?

£1500 for two photographers (husband and wife), from prep of bride and groom to 1hr after first dance.
This was reasonable, most I was seeing were £1800 plus. I am in south London/Surrey borders and the photographers we were looking at were Hampshire area

That does sound pretty reasonable, chere’s. Were you happy with the pictures? I’m the same region as you.

Price vary massively. My husband is a fairly new photographer and his packages start at £495 (essex area but happy to travel Wink). I've seen some for £2k+...Shock

istherainevercomingback I haven’t used them yet!! Don’t get married until April 2020. I’ve met them and looked through their albums and stuff online, read reviews etc. I came across them on Instagram and then they were one of the venues we looked at chosen supplier.
We chatted about how we hate having our photo taken and they showed us photos of a wedding where the couple were really phobic of the camera

Ours was £800 for I think about 8 hours on the day, with an engagement shoot thrown in. We got about 300 photos on a memory stick. I made books online- one big one for us, four smaller for parents and grandparents- for about another £150. I’d definitely recommend getting a cheaper package and doing your own books- not just because you could save a good few hundred quid, but also because it’s a nice way of prolonging wedding lala land for a bit after the wedding. And you can weed out the photos that don’t flatter you.

I was similar to Doobigetta and got a photographer for £1000 from 12-8pm and she sent us around 500 photos on a memory stick.

I did the books myself for Christmas presents for family members.

We chose her as she had the style of photos we wanted - chilled out with a bit of fun thrown in. This is in the West Midlands if that helps with pricing.
