We are having a cheeseboard to be served in the evening, following canapés/fizz at 3 after the ceremony, then a plentiful sit down 2 course at about 5/5.30. There are no additional evening guests so not having an additional buffet. We are sourcing the cheeses ourselves from a local cheese shop and serviced ( ie plates, replenishing ) by the caterers who are supplying the rest of the food for the day.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about something extra we could put there for those who are non dairy ? I can’t have cheese myself (sob) but can’t stand the fake vegan cheeses available. I make cashew ‘cheese ‘ but a) I’m not supplying something homemade in this context because of potential food safety concerns b) it’s a bit of a niche taste !
My only thoughts thus far could be tapenade or , at a stretch, the fake ‘feta’ which isn’t as awful. Any ideas for something that can be relatively easily purchased ( good retail access here ) to put along side the board ?
