(2 Posts)Second time around for both of us and we are 40s/50s so have talked about marriage rather than a dramatic proposal.
DF is a widower and I am divorced, my ExH was all for the big gestures. So we both wanted something different.
I have very small hands (glove size 5 if that means anything to anyone) I am a vet so any ring must be smooth so not get caught on anything. We designed both engagement and wedding ring. Engagement will be oval green sapphire in twisted rub over setting with small inset diamonds in the shoulders in a 2.5mm court band in natural white gold ( no platinum/rhodium plating) so a warm white. Wedding ring is same gold plain 2mm court band that will slip beneath setting of engagement ring.
I am so pleased with design so very me. We go back in two weeks to choose the sapphire they are ordering in a range of oval green sapphires so I can choose the colour.
Sounds lovely congratulations
