Just that really. How much have you spent or how much have you budgeted for both of your weddings rings?

Dh doesn’t wear one but mine was about £2500

We married in 2016, they were about £1600 each. A lot more than we spent on any other part of the proceedings and we didn't even get then until after the wedding.

Mine was £500 and DH's £200. We don't have the money to spend ££££, but wanted rings that reflect that they are to be worn every day for the rest of our lives.

£40! My engagement ring is an antique and only 9ct gold so anything different than this would have damaged my engagement ring...! So a cheap as chips plain band to not detract from my engagement ring. DH's was a couple of hundred if I remember correctly.

Chasingsquirrels I’m intrugued what your rings look like/are made from to cost so much. Are they both full of diamonds?

Neither of us have rings so a big fat zero was spent on rings!

We have matching gold rings that were £400 in total - estimated insurance at £1700.
(We used Macintyres in glasgow).

I had to get my wedding ring and new engagement ring cut off in April due to burnt hand and I know that I can go back and they will remelt and make it.

Engagement ring was bought on Honeymoon in Mexico at Lapis so that's getting remade at Macintyres too.

Have a good look around and also if looking for something diffent try Gemporia on tv.

Mine were very expensive. 3 - engagement, wedding and eternity. Made by a jeweller, platinum and diamonds. It was my choice to spend such a lot. But they give me a great deal of pleasure.

Can't remember the exact price but they're both just plain bands so only a few hundred each. You can spend loads if you want diamonds but I think it depends what your engagement ring looks like. How much do you want to spend OP?

Mine was £30 and DHs £17 but he's never worn it, well he did initially but it got caught on a door handle just after we got married and hurt his finger so it's in my jewellery box

CurlyRover · 11/02/2018 13:13

Bojangles I think ideally 1 k tops for the two and DP thinks around £500-600 each so slightly more if we go for the top end of what he thinks.

I think mine was £2,000. My wedding band was £500. They are probably my favourite possessions and we had a very small wedding that didn't cost much, so didn't mind spending that much money on them.

Dh decided not to wear one as he doesn't like jewellery. He bought one for the ceremony for less than £50

@PaperdollCartoon
That's DH's (on my hand, he died 9 months after we married). It's platinum and gold.

Mine was £450 ish. Plain platinum band with a twist to sit under my deco shaped engagement ring. My husband's was circa £1200 iirc, his is platinum, rose gold and carbon fibre.

I was happy to pay a lot more for his ring because he bought me a gorgeous engagement ring I really loved, and I can see how much he loves his ring every time he looks at it.
