(10 Posts)My dp and I are holidaying in New York in a few weeks and we plan on getting married at the city hall whilst we are there.
We both want a low key wedding so we plan it just being the two of us and surprising our friends and family with the news when we get home!
I have though about wearing this dress

What do you think? I can't ask for opinions in real life as we are keeping it a secret!
I think it's beautiful! How exciting - congratulations!
Love it! Congratulations and how exciting!
That dress is stunning! Love it
It's gorgeous! How fantastic
That's lovely. If i were you i'd forego the traditional wedding shoe and get something very sexy, maybe strappy? I would also have a birdcage veil and, if you have long hair, consider asking hotel to help you book a 'hair up' appointment.
Most exciting!
Bit too office wear! Bit dull for a bride. Sorry.
I agree thinking it’s a bit officey.
I found these alternatives you might like?

I think it's perfect for what you are planning! I can just imagine someone in it on the steps of the city hall holding a simple bouquet. Sounds lovely!
V classy. Perfect for what you have envisaged.
Reminds me a bit of the outfit Carrie wore when she married Big. Not the big dress, the second low key outfit.
