The two of us just want to get away and get married on our own (not our first times Grin). Any ideas where is good? We will have to pick witnesses up off the street

Cardiff? The registry office is in City Hall, so a lovely setting and a great place.

And you know the MN rule is that you get MN random witnesses, not just off the street don't you?

We honeymooned at Millbrook cottages in Devon. They do the kind of wedding you're talking about too. The place is AMAZING! I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Belfast! unless it's a same sex marriage, we don't do those.... Confused

(with causeway coast, voted #1 place to visit in 2018 by lonely planet)

I second Edinburgh - I went to university there and it's so romantic and beautiful - even/especially in the winter! Gorgeous landscape, historic architecture, great pubs/bars/restaurants/hotels - everything you need.
Good luck!

Make it Bath or Cardiff and I'll be a witness!

Somewhere on the North Yorkshire coast. Whitby? Have photos taken of yourselves with the Abbey in the background. Or on the beautiful wide beach if it's a clear day.
