Hi ladies!

Do you mind sharing how much you spend on your wedding photographer and what it included? I am trying to get an idea of what is reasonable...

We paid £795 for a weekday wedding. Probably about 6-7 hrs worth, 2pm til sunset shots. 250 photos on usb. I love my photos! If you're in the south west I can recommend him for sure.

We're in London and quotes are coming in between 1k - 2k for 'getting ready' until 'first dance'. We've not made the call yet but I'm not prepared to go over £1.5k (and hoping to get it for nearer to £1k as we're marrying a little later in the day).

Mine was £1500 worth every penny

We paid £400 for a Sunday wedding. He came to our Cottage at 10am to take 'getting ready' photos and then drove ahead of us to the venue where he stayed till 10pm! He was absolutely amazing and after the wedding sent us 250 edited photos and around 3000 unedited ones that he'd taken throughout the day in case we liked them more. If you're getting married in the north east let me know Smile

A friend did it but he usually charges £1k. We’re in the NW.

We paid £1500 ish for a London photographer but the wedding was in Kent. From 9am - 9pm, and we got about 600 shots on a usb.

It was the best money I have ever spent in my life, and those photos still bring tears two years later!

Forgot to say, it was a Saturday wedding in the height of summer!

£1000. Cambs in July. One thousand photos so well and truly worth the money. Don't even think about getting a friend to do photography because a). they won't get to enjoy the day b). heard too many stories about missing key moments or losing the memory card with all the photos!

£1200 from mid morning getting ready until about 10pm, loved getting some dancefloor shots - they're some of my favourites.
Included slideshow and blog post about a week later and 700 edited images on a USB within 4 weeks.
He was the nicest guy, so important to pick someone you gel with

We paid £400, he did the church and the reception.
Stuck photos in the order he wanted into photo album; and 9/10 photos one of me or husband are blinking:
Had better photos from the guests phones!

Thanks ladies...quite some variation it seems!

We have been quoted £1200 for 8 hours. It seems maybe a bit more sensible now - especially as there's 2 of them. It's a husband and wife duo. It's the time cap that's putting me off more than anything.

Oh and we are in Scotland!

£595 for arrivals to beginning of meal and 20 page album (around 80 photos). Will pay another £120 for photos on a USB stick. Wedding is on a Wednesday but I think he charges the same any day of the week. I am in Yorkshire.

£800 for 8 hours, 3-400 photos on usb/download site and engagement shoot. Books not included- I've seen some nice ones online for around £200, so we'll get one of those.

£795 or 895 I cant remember 🤔 saturday in September.
He met the boys(hubby and co.) first thing (about 10.30) and got pictures of them, then he went to church and took pictures of all the guests as they were arriving. (I did not want to be photographed shoving a bacon sandwich down my throat with my hair half done and not quite finished makeup😂😂)
He met me outside church, took some and me and my dad.
Then we went to the reception and he stayed until the start of lunch but after the speeches. We had him for maybe 5hours.

We got 462 pictures he sent us 2 copies, the proper high quality could be put straight into an album (which I did on photobox £79 for 2 40pg hard back lie flat book. It was buy one get 1 free) and the web res copy so if I decided to put them on fb people couldn't make there own album (MIL im looking at you)

Pretty varied costs then I see! The £1200 didn't include any prints...

£600 for a "proper" photographer and her assistant (he got different angles of the ceremony and some casual ones while she did a few of the set piece family ones). Covered from about an hour before the ceremony (I expressly did NOT want
"Getting ready" pics - I was paying for hair and make up to look really nice - so really did not want the rough "before" shots!) through to speeches. About 100 photos all touched up and lovely on a CD plus a DVD of the photos in order (so taking you through the ceremony etc.) set to our wedding music. 100% worth it. (Just as well given we hadn't really planned to have a photographer, FIL said he'd pay for it as wedding gift? We booked her and then he, errm, didn't)

We charge £1050 for getting ready to first dance, no time cap. £1250 if you fancy an engagement shoot as well. That’s all individually edited pics (400-600) on a usb to use and print as you desire and a dvd slideshow. We’re in Sheffield but travel all over. Mylo Photography if you don’t mind a cheeky plug!!

Is the photographers initials RB? And is his wife Greek?

I'm in Scotland too. We're paying £795 for a Saturday.

He'll cover the whole day - both of us getting ready, the ceremony, usual couple and group portraits, speeches, cake cutting etc. In the evening he'll cover the first 5 dances, then some late evening shots of the 2 of us.

He was the only one we spoke to who didn't charge by the hour, or charge extra for staying past the first dance.

We get all the photos fully edited on a USB and an online gallery, 50 6x4 prints, and full copyright to all images.

Looking at some of the other prices mentioned, I'm very glad he was recommended to us!
