Walking down the "aisle" music...

I am getting married in a hotel and the venue will be decorated for a winter wedding (lights/candles etc). The "aisle" such as it is is quite short and I am struggling to think of what music to have playing - too traditional doesn't seem quite right but neither does modern?

Any ideas? Confused

I'm having the theme music from the start of the film Forest Gump (the bit where the feather is floating), it's a beautiful piece of music.

Do you and your DP have a favourite song that means something to you?
I'd recommend looking up Vitamin String Quartet. They do beautiful versions of so many different current ale older songs.

I had moon river played by a string quartet. Never fails to make me sob when I hear it. ❤️

@allthebest
Assuming it's a civil wedding, you're not allowed anything religious which would include (traditional) carols

Oh yes I totally second Vivaldi's Winter especially the second movement.

I really wanted the Darth Vader marching music but we thought guests might think we were a bit weird. Blush

I know someone who had the imperial march from star wars, was appropriate for the couple, very funny, light-hearted moment

Imperial March, that's what I meant.

I give up. As soon as this baby goes to sleep, I'm off to bed.

This is the reason so many weddings have Pachelbel's Canon for the walk down the aisle - it can be as short or as long as you like and after playing it literally 1000s of times now bores me to tears
