Too revealing?

Would this dress work for a tall 34DD?

It's deceptively low cut and I can't decide if it's perfect, or I'll look like a pair of netted oranges.

Can't try on sadly

That model definiteyl is not a 34DD. I suspect it wouldn't work. The model isn't wearing a bra, I suspect because of where the shoulder straps sit as you'd see the bra straps. Could you manage without one?

You've posted in weddings, is this for a wedding?

Unless you have fake boobs you'll need a bra. And if you do have fake boobs it may well look trashy. Sorry.

Sorry your boobs are too big for it as are mine

It's got a lace back, hasn't it? So definitely a no-bra dress.

It really depends if you are actually a 34DD or not. I think we probably need to see a picture of you.

It doesn't look too revealing on the model, but it does look a bit nippley.

Yes... It's a wedding dress Frank

I went braless for a party over the summer and it was fine. I think I could find some kind of bra/body that would fit tbh, and it would be possible to wear clear straps under the lace.

It's more the cleavage situation that I'm worried about. I don't want to feel or look too over exposed. But then the style of dress I like looks quite frumpy without something on show (or a size 8 figure Envy)

Don't think it'll work.

There is a back of sorts

Gorgeous dress, but I think it would look a bit wrong on a larger rack, as it were.

I also would not consider buying a wedding dress without trying it on first, but that's a separate issue!

If it was a church wedding it is too revealing but otherwise I think it's absolutely fine although the boobs could be an issue.

If you can comfortably go braless then I think it might be fine. Just strategic use of tit tape perhaps.

It depends on what look you're going for. With larger boobs yes it could look a bit tacky, weddings are seldom about putting them on display, although many do, and honestly, elegant is usually the better choice. It's a beautiful dress, and it is very elegant on a smaller busted women. I take the same size bra as you, but a dress size bigger, and I'd probably find if a bit too booby for a wedding,

Not many vicars would allow it for a church wedding....

I have much smaller boobs but I had cups sewn into my wedding dress as I hate strapless bras. Not sure if that would help in any way with this dress or with big boobs.
How see-through is the lace?

It's not fitting the model very well, it's puckering up on the right hand part of the bodice. I think that if it fits the model this badly it's not going to look good in real life regardless if your bust size.

Not a church do, it may even be an elopement. Not religious, so no vicars to offend

Yes, you're right, it's not an expensive dress, I really do not feel that spending mega bucks on a dress for one day is worth it. And unless I'm planning to remortgage, all the alternatives seem to want to turn grown women into bejewelled, lacey cupcakes.

I really, really don't want to go to a wedding dress shop, every one I've been in for friend and family has been fucking awful! and I'll probably fall for a grands worth of dress

Equally I wasn't really aiming for a Big Fat Gypsy Wedding... Which is why I've asked the question in the first place. I'm not really a cleavage dresser, in fact I don't even own a v-neck. I might ask for fabric samples, that'd help me to know if it's super risqué.

How is budget wedding dress shopping so hard?!

Have you looked at chi chi London? They have some nice ones. I think I'm going to get my evening/down the pub after afternoon tea one from there.

Just had a look, thanks Mama, the shapes and styles don't look very height friendly though. I often find that the waist is too high and hems are short. They look perfect for the type of day you're planning and both the brand and your plans have the relaxed yet special vibe I'm hoping to achieve. Great find!

I have found a Spanish brand called Intropia who do some lovely styles, nothing's jumping out at me but I think I'll plan a day trip to London. Mooch around the more hard to find brands I seem to favour and have try on.

Not sure of your budget, but Monsoon have some lovely dresses, like this one

I do keep an eye on ASOS Bridal Nap they have a bit of an edge, which I like. But again I worry about looking a bit mutton.

Oooh, error that's a curveball, thanks. I quite like this one below, if I could de-bling the waistline. Or is it too shiny?! Perfect price, so I might try and see if it's in stores: http://uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/ukcatalog/monn_4.1/2400094612
