Help me get married please! - elopement with children

We are in a position where we want to get married but we don't want a big do.

Both me and DP are early 40s, both with elderly and ill parents (bar my mother who is a carer for my father). With family far away and immediate family who are incredibly busy with multiple jobs and small children. Sprinkling of friends but no one who would be upset to miss out. We have two children under 5 and I would like them to be there.

In my head I am imagining an elopement scenario where we go somewhere and stat for s week with the kids and within that time frame we either disappear off and marry and come back or get married at the venue. To this end we need childcare, so I'm wondering if it might be a venue that had babysitting options or perhaps a nanny for the day?

I've found a dress I love and we would want a photographer, evening meal out, does it sound possible? Ludicrous? 😁

Have you looked at millbrook in Devon? I'm sure you could find a local nanny for the day if you want one too :)
