What do you look for on a show round of a venue?

I just wanted to see if I can get any feedback from you guys.

I have a second interview for a wedding venue where I would be the main sales person.

I haven't worked in weddings before but have worked in customer service before and I'm happy that the venue has a reputation for excellent customer service and really valuing the customer.

I would be reacting to enquiries and then showing people round the venue all the way through to them booking the venue.

I have a few ideas of what is important to me such as really listening to the customers.

But I wondered what else you like and dislike when being shown a potential place for your wedding.

Thanks :)

A nice free beverage!

Being shown any nice views, picture spots, referencing other weddings that have taken place, (obviously you wouldn't have experience as you're new but that will come!) quirky touchs we could add, (fairy lights, lanterns, tree stumps), how flexible the venue is, trying to set the scene a bit.

Don't like - other venue bashing! Or lack of complimentary beverage offered!

Thank you so much.

Yes, I remember wedding dress shopping with my sister and disappointed at lack of any beverage!!

Definitely a drink.
As a bridal couple, I want you to appear excited about my wedding, but calm and reassuring IYSWIM. I know my wedding is one of many, but I want to (pretend) it's special to you too.
I want to know there are enough chairs for the guests and there won't be that awkward standing around for ages on arrival/ between the formal sit down bit and the evening do, while the tables and chairs are moved, and that great aunt Nelly isn't forced to stand up for ages.
That there are choices for non drinkers and that I can get a cuppa if I want/GANelly wants one.
I want to know there is a loo I can get into and use safely with my ginormous meringue dress on.
I want the hot food hot and served speedily for all my guests, and you can cater for the last minute Kosher coeliac vegan.
Is there an outside area that is for smokers (undercover and heated for winter weddings) . Is there a smoke free outside area? Is there somewhere for kids that is safe for the toddlers to run about and let off steam a bit?
Where can I take photos?
Is the noise from the kitchen/bar area non intrusive during the speeches/dancing.
Is there a sound system for my playlist.
Bar/corkage charges.
Do I have a named contact for queries (presumably you, Op?) what times can I get hold of you/ email you?
Suggestions for decorating, photos if possible of other weddings in the venue.
Make me feel you really care about us.
I love that you are asking on here- bodes well for your success.
