We are having our reception in a village hall and I'm doing everything Diy.

I need table cloths in the following size but they are so small everywhere I've seen or terrible quality.

I need 8 feet by 6 feet and I need 10 of them.
I'm on a budget but I still want nice quality.

I've looked everywhere Sad

I told you it was random Grin

Are you doing the catering yourselves too? Only catered should have suppliers to hire those from? Where in the country are you based? I may know someone who can help.

We're borrowing ours from a family friend who hosts the school prom. Do you know anyone who goes to any groups like the WI who may have some you can borrow? If not, have a look on Gumtree, You and Your Wedding "swap and sale" section of the forum, UK bride "selling" section for other brides selling them. Also look for function hire companies, the place we're hiring our tables and chairs from also hires out tableclothes. Another good place to look is Facebook on local "brides in X county" groups, I've seen lots of good things for sale in my local area.

Contact local linen hire firms. They often sell less than perfect table cloths at heavy discounts.

I have a cafe , I make my table cloths with fabric I bought from my local market
£5 a metre , I have vintagey Cath Kidston style , tiny red hearts , chickens .
Worth a look , if you have a sewing machine and can do straight lines
If that's the look you're after ...

NisekoWhistler - the caterer will supply them for the food but don't have any big enough for the main tables.

Busybuzzybumblebee - it's really shocked me how hard it is to buy large table cloths. I expected to just go onto eBay and get the first ones I've seen. I've been looking all day Confused

Thank you all for your help. You've given me a lot of options to look at. Worst case scenario I will make them. I live 40 mins away from a rag market. I just need the time and patience Grin

We bought ours from an officers' mess that was refurbishing. I think probably via ebay. They have now done several weddings etc. It was cheaper than hiring them. Maybe a caterer that's upgrading?

Also, as a rule very large tables are covered by multiple table cloths rather than one large one. You just need to take the placement of the overlap into account when setting the table. We did this in all the restaurants I've worked in Smile
