Bloody Hell Wedding Guest Dresses

Good Morning Ladies. I have a wedding to attend in three weeks time and I'm at bloody breaking point with my non existent outfit. I HAVE NOTHING. Angry

I'm at my largest I've ever been a size14 and I'm only short so it looks even worse Hmm I've tried millions of dresses on but non feel right. My boyfriend is wearing a mid blue colour and I would love to find something in a similar colour but it seems impossible Sad

I am rather large of chest, so anything with a high collar looks absurd on me which is annoying because there are so many pretty dresses out there.

Can anyone PLEASE help with my search I would love you forever Grin

This is the best neckline for "larger chest" ladies (I too have larger chesticles).

OK, I know this one does not have the neckline you would expect to flatter big boobs. But I an a size 16, 5 foot 3 and a 32H bra size, and I wore it recently and everyone said it looked fantastic. I know they were probably being flattering but I thought it looked really good too.

This one also seems nice, and is blue!

Oops - I didn't mean to post that as I decided that neither suited your neckline requirements, sorry! Just ignore me!

What is your body shape OP? Smile

Hi sorry got carried away with a floor slab measure!

The John Lewis dress is a beautiful colour Grin

My body shape is top heavy a bit apple-ish I guess, Hmm but at the mo everything is a bit larger than I would like iyswim.

Its so frustrating because there are all these beautiful dresses but I find that they are either a bit 'mature' for me or a bit outrageous.

I'm 20 but I've never really shown off bodywise. I see all these young women like myself with such huge body confidence wearing all sorts of clingy revealing things and I just like to hide away under sleeves haha slightly jealous Envy

Love the blue Elise dress, and bargainous.

I've also noticed that there are a LOT of cream/white type dresses that are gorgeous. But that is not an option considering I'm attending a bloody wedding!!

I love the style of this! I've looked on Lindybop as well hoping for something similar but with more blue and less white.

Is this too wedding dressy??

Noooo that's not wedding dressy its lovely!

Oooo that lindybop dress is GORGEOUS! not too weddingdressy at all.
But have you got clothes in that style already? Just thinking if you're top heavy and appley, it might not work with your figure.

I was just thinking because it was mainly kind of white...that's all I'm apprehensive about! Can imagine turning up and then committing a huge social faux pas

That is GORGEOUS! (I'm buying it) Grin

Make sure you wear it with coloured (maybe Navy?) accessories so it doesn't look too bridal

I was thinking of that dress then nude shoes but then maybe buying like a drape/shawl and matching clutch bag in a nice bright colour to kind of offset the white issue.

I guess even if when it comes its too wedding dress like, I can wear it to something else. Its gorgeous Grin

It's a great dress, go for it - agree that to accesorise with navy would be perfect - certainly not too wedding dressy.

Lovely dress! I used to have a pair of Faith wedge sandals in that colourway and almost identical print, including the high wedge. They were amazing!

I would be tempted to get the Coast one for the wedding though

That dress is lovely, but I think you will need a petticoat under it to give it oomph

Thank You Ladies!!

Does anybody know where I could possibly buy some nice matching shoes and clutch bag? I've skimmed about but can only seems to find either nice shoes OR a nice bag. Nowhere seems to stock both!

I wouldn't put nude shoes with it, though

I already have a petticoat so thankfully I'm sorted in that department Grin

I am of a similar body shape and I really like yours clothing for flattering clothes. I feel most comfortable in skater dresses with a sweetheart neckline. I've linked to a nice blue one but there's loads of others and a sale on too.

I've never come across that site before! There's some beautiful things on there!! I like how they use regular women as well! Non of this Topshop size 4 models nonsense in which the clothes just hang from their shoulders!

I would go with something completely different, if the patterns and colours worked together in the flesh
