Witnesses needed - Lake District

Very strange query here but here goes. My fiancee and I are getting married this summer (either july or august) at cockermouth registry office and it will just be us and his 2 children. Because they are under 18 we need 2 witnesses and for various reasons its not practical to ask people we know. The registry office is not allowed to provide people and I would rather not ask people off the street on the day in case nobody will!

Does anybody happen to live in the cockermouth area that would be willing to spare half an hour or so to witness our wedding? Or know anybody that might? It would be on a weekday.

I remember a similar thread a few years ago which ended with a couple of MN witnesses wearing pants on their heads so the bride could identify them. It was a fantastic thread. ( they took the pants off their heads for photo iircc)
