love baby cakes- more for me though hehe!!
I cant link here but on the marisota website there is a cornflower blue dress and jacket that is out of stock!! I can imagine my mum in it liokung lovely with a large hat, anything that style would suit her, smile

Onesleeptillwembley Fri 14-Jun-13 22:30:25

Oh please don't wear a maxi dress. Fat women and maxi dresses just don't go. And I speak as a chub.

SaggyTitsAndHairyToes Fri 14-Jun-13 22:36:17

no its below the knee,
I agree with you although my mum looks lovely in them grin

MrsLettuce Fri 14-Jun-13 22:44:01

do you mean this one? It looks very cheap and size enhancing TBH

MrsLettuce Fri 14-Jun-13 22:48:22

this in rhe aqua with a lovely jacket or wrap would be marginallly better.

What's her budget?

MrsLettuce Fri 14-Jun-13 22:53:35

this with this and red shoes would be good.

MrsLettuce Fri 14-Jun-13 23:13:25

and of course control pants would help her feel more 'secure' in the tummy department

SaggyTitsAndHairyToes Sat 15-Jun-13 00:32:13

that last one is lovely far to dark, my mum is 50+ smile
the shape of the marisota one is very very flattering on her ssomething alike?? same colour wouldvhe nice aswell wink

MrsLettuce Sat 15-Jun-13 10:25:55

TBH, if you have such a specific style and range of shades in mind for her and a tight budget it'd probably be best to have something made to order. A lot of brands seem to stop at a 28 so there's not much choice and the nice stuff in larger sizes will tend to sell out sharpish - a seamstress could make her something to your/her exact specifications that will fit perfectly.

Another option would be to order from the states but then there's import duty and extreme faff with exchanges.

MrsLettuce Sat 15-Jun-13 10:41:03

this and this or this in aqua orthis in navy?

I really do think the navy / gold lace dress form before has potential and is probably less dark IRL than in the photo.

thanks for reply will show my mum, its a winter wedding and im having blues, icy winter wonderland as our theme smile

MrsLettuce Sun 16-Jun-13 13:11:39

One last try then - how about this, this or this in blues and silvers? The dresses are made to order and they'd almost certainly be able to add long(er) sleeves to the last too. The design your own dress service might be a good fall back if you know exactly what she wants but can't find it. They will send out fabric swatches.
