Nobody does it better by Carly Simon. It was DH's choice, but I quite liked it!

Maybe I'm amazed, Wings.

Unchained melody by the righteous brothers. It was my uncles favourite but he died before I was married. It made me feel like he was there for a few minutes.

I'll be there - The Parlotones. We got married 2 weeks ago and the lyrics were so beautiful and appropriate! YouTube it! :) Either way - have an amazing time!

'Every day I love you' by Boyzone

Whatever you choose it should mean something to you, doesn't have to be traditionally soppy just something that makes you both smile/cry/want to have a right good boogie and isn't by Chesney Hawkes :o

We've decided not to get married, but before that had actually managed to narrow a potential first dance song down to a shortlist of...

Don't Stop Believin' - Journey (but this was a few years ago, so that's well and truly scrapped since the whole Glee debacle)

Take It Easy - The Eagles

Golden Years - David Bowie

Agree that you should pick a song that is important to you, rather than one that sounds like a first dance song. A friend of mine had that Groovejet/Spiller dance song as that was their song.

'I can hear music' by the Beach Boys is perfect. If only I'd remembered it through the haze of pregnancy and not whilst walking down the road 7 months later Blush

"it had to be you" obnoxiously the line "for all your faults I love you still" referred to his faults not mine Grin

Report
Molehillmountain · 30/06/2012 23:39

Autocorrect! Obviously not obnoxiously!

We had Adele Make You Feel My Love. It was the only song we could both agree on. We're not very good dancers and wanted something we could sway to.

We had Something Changed by Pulp. We did a little dance to it too (outs self).

We walked down the aisle to Songs of Love by Divine Comedy and back up to Baby, I Love You by the Ramones.

The guy working there said it was the best music choice he'd heard for a wedding, which was nice. Smile
