I'm afraid it is too early still. A couple more days.

I hope so. Booked a long weekend away and it's rain every day Angry

For those looking at the Bank Holiday weather, GFS says at the moment high pressure building next week and then at the beginning of the BH weekend, some real warmth starts for most of England/the SE, with temperatures in the region of the low 20sC and then rising to the upper 20s on the Sunday/BH Monday.
The north/Scotland looking cooler but could get upper teens/low 20s over the weekend.

I do hope so. I need another blast of warmth before autumn arrives.

Thanks Gloria, I'll be back forecasting next week, but you are right, it is looking good!

Sounds good to me. I was looking at the Metoffice and then suddenly my brain remembered that OYBBK is a far better source! We're off to CarFest next weekend so will be checking back to find out how many waterproofs I might need. Fortunately we are in a hotel rather than camping this year.

Still looking good for next weekend ~ looks like England and Wales could see temperatures ranging from 20-27C, with a slightly cooler 18-21C for Scotland.

Netweather thinks there could be a few thunderstorms that spring up this afternoon for some areas.

Some early Bank Holiday thoughts from Netweather and TheWeatherOutlook. Looks like there's a bit of uncertainty at the moment~ some areas could see some rain over the weekend.

It's not an amazing forecast for next weekend for many. I think that there will be a sweet spot in the SE that manages to avoid too much in the way of rain, with temps in the mid 20s, but for many, temps in the low 20s (or cooler) with the chance of rain. On Sunday we need to keep an eye out for the chance of heavier rain, including in the south.

I think the message is, plan to have a lovely weekend, but just keep an eye on the forecast and pack a rain coat as well as sun cream.

Sigh. I was really hoping for a last blast of heat before September. I'm wearing my coat in the office today and had the heating on last night.

Well, in London weโ€™ve got 26, 27.

No one else? Or is that forecast wrong?

Oh actually a couple of others have 30 for bank holiday Monday.

Edinburgh's got 25C for Monday and 27C for Tuesday, and no rain all weekend.....of course it's not the August Bank Holiday in Scotland. We've already had that at the start of the Month.

Looking pretty bad for those of us with hot office, hot Tube, hot flat.

Iโ€™ve got 31 right up to Wednesday in London. No figures after that. Any thoughts weather experts? Thanks.

RosaWaiting ~ the GFS at the moment has the warmth continuing until next Thursday. As it's over a week away, that probably will change though!
