Not a great looking weekend but Sunday overnight into Monday is looking very stormy.
The metoffice have issued wind warnings for Storm Freya.

You might be right there, OYBBK. I think I caught the words 'rapidly deepening low' on the lunchtime forecast.

It does look to be a rapidly deepening low, I think it may reach the technical status of a weather bomb.
Worth observing that in the latest GFS a secondary low pressure seems to form to the south of it. One to watch through the SE perhaps.

Windy overnight with gusts of 50mph since about 2am. Not the strongest, but the direction made the windows howl.
Had proper rain yesterday too.

I can confirm that there is indeed a ''rapidly deepening low'' as Freya has been sent to tidy her bedroom to atone for the chaos she has caused across the country.

I think she may be more volatile later though.

According to xcweather, Mumbles Head has had the highest wind speed so far ~ 53mph.
