You & Gloria are wonderful & I don't think you know how many of us take so much more heed of your FORECASTING, by which I mean the interpretation of all the weather info, than that which is just given to us a computer generated symbols.

And I see just where you are coming from with your warnings about reliance but we love you.

And not just for snow, but for wind/gales/rain & (best of all) heatwaves!

No snow here (east Sussex) atm - hooray!

Boo, Metoffice have downgraded us (East Surrey) from heavy to light snow tomorrow evening. Probably no bad thing as DH is flying into London City Airport at 5.30 and it would be nice if he could get home quickly and easily!

Just plonking my snowman down here or at least I would if it had snowed here at all. My weather app has been removed from the christmas card list as it just lies to me.

My snow keeps getting stolen Sad
Lovely snow on the met office weather forecast and then nothing appears. Very disappointing!

Fudge, could be an interesting journey!

The band of precipitation does seem narrower still than last nights forecast, so fewer hours of intense snowfall now, and again further south.

Thanks OYBBK - hopefully we won't encounter too many problems getting there, and once we're there we can enjoy the snowy surroundings Wine

That would be lovely!

So primary risk tonight seems to be south of Birmingham, with south Wales and neighboring counties bearing the brunt of the snow as the system temporarily stalls and pivots. The NE may catch some snow from this as snow showers then feed in from the east temporarily.

Tomorrow morning snow showers in the Midlands may take a few hours to fizzle out.

GFS is still keen for a wet southerly edge. Apart from the coast, I'm not convinced.

I'm out this morning, so will have limited access to models for a while. My current temperature is -6.5c so wish me luck on my walk to the station!

Just checking in to see what it looks like for Worcester - just cold and frosty at the moment so I'll get into work today (over 10 miles away) but will I get back home this evening...?

We've had one lot of sleet, but today it's saying snow tonight! DS is ecstatic and can't wait. How likely is this for the new forest/Southampton?

CentreParcs is lovely in the snow as long as you don't need to cycle. Once I was at Longleat, sat in the outdoor pool at the AquaSana and it started snowing. Lovely being in the Spa in the snow but the walk back to villa was fun.

Thanks for the new thread.
It's bitterly cold here but I haven't braved a look out of the window; the car was already frozen at 10pm last night.

Morning all ~ a new Snow-Watch thread (and thank you for the lovely comments at the beginning of it there Blush )

Think we were forecast for it to be -2 or -3 overnight but we're down to -6C here (Leicester) Shock

stabby ~ if you're inland, you should get a few hours of snow tonight. Nearer the coast, probably not looking so good and it'll be rain/sleet.

No snow here in NE Derbyshire but terribly cold!

Thanks for thread. Have to leave first thing to,orrow morning for a hospital appointment at 8am in west Kent and very worried about it as we live on ungritted country lane on a hill. Completely confused about how much snow we’ll get

Brrrrrr its a bit chilly here in south yorkshire. No snow though, just a thick, thick frost and feezing fog.

School run up a pretty steep, ungritted path and over a humpback bridge that will probably be black ice. Possibly. Debating between defrosting the car and risking the roads or slipsliding about.

Don't think we will get any snow though which is good as I hate it!

Longest in the snow is magical! Not too much though!
Do you think Somerset will get a dumping of snow?
I'm checking the forecast and those say rain/snow and it's difficult to see which will be in the majority.
Thank you so much, your threads are the first thing I check if there are adverse weather conditions around.
