Hi everyone
My little boy is 7 weeks old and the heat has been extreme! We can't get the temperature in our house below 30 degrees. This is with a fan on.
Does anyone know any way I can keep him cool through the night?
He normally sleeps in his swaddle but it's too hot for it! So he's not sleeping either.
Please any suggestions!
Thank you in advance.

I guess just a vest and nappy?

Google suggests...

Put a large bucket of ice directly in front of the fan. The fan will blow air over the ice, cooling it in the process. It may not be pretty, but it'll keep you cool. If a big bucket of ice sounds like a lot of work, a wet washcloth will do roughly the same time – just place it over the front of the fan.

I've tried just a vest as nappy and he's just burning. He can't sleep out of his swaddle either 😔
Thank you for the ice tip! I'm going to try that now. Thank you 😊

Poor little love. My daughter was born last year in the heatwave. I used a Muslin to swaddle her in just her nappy - perhaps this with the ice tip from pp would work?

Oh bless her. It's just so horrible as temperature due to wether really is something you can't control!
He did sleep bless him. I had him in just his nappy and a swaddle. Me and my partner walked him round the block in his pram in the cool air. When we got home (from google research) I wet towels and hung them round the cot, put a bowl of ice in-front of the fan and had the fan blowing into his cot and through the night I was patting his head with a cold wet cloth.
So unlike me he had a lovely sleep! Haha but that's all that matters Smile Thank you for the advice xx
