As requested I'll post here too. Grin

Snow's coming down thick now, hard to say how much we have as it's quite windy already.

This is my current view. (Not very exciting.)

Are you in the US? We had record snowfall yesterday - here's the view from my kitchen this morning

Where are @TJODrinky ?

I'm in coastal Maine so we're getting the worst of this 'bomb cyclone' or whatever they're calling it now.

We're set to get another 15-20 inches on top of this which we already had. Confused

Coastal SC - we are totally unprepared for snow! No work for me today because the bridges are still closed afaik. All this lovely family time!

Report
imyourgirl · 04/01/2018 18:33

We've been pretty much inside for two weeks due to -20 temps so I'm bloody over family time.

Ah, should have guessed you're in the US OP!

TJO that looks beautiful! Although I know in reality I would hate it, I did nothing but moan when we had a few inches of snow recently. The UK might be permanently grey and windy but I can cope with it better.

That sounds rough @imyourgirl - I've lived in the south so long, it has ruined me for cold weather. I don't even have an ice scraper for my car. School is out again tomorrow . This was yesterday

I think we've had snow once in about 10 years and that only lasted about a day .. Id actually really like some snow and to be snowed in for a while (although of course I do sympathise with all you facing that storm right now )

I've drunk an extraordinary amount of tea in the last two days, and my kitchen is now immaculate - bad weather turns me into a domestic goddess it seems - I do the same when there's a hurricane coming Smile

Thanks TJ. What the hell are those gators going to do? I mean I don't like the creatures but still.

Yay, thanks for bringing your thread over here :) that's rather a lot of water!
I hadn't realised that non tropical storms were named in the States, who names them?

Report
imyourgirl · 04/01/2018 22:34

I didn't know that either! World Meteorological Organization names them.

That water will be ice by midnight. It's our main route. Sad

Fingers crossed you have the heating sources to while away the time whilst this plays out. Glad to read your chickens are snuggled in; I hope they're ok too. Hope this passes with minimal upheaval for you all.
