Fog warnings for much of England tonight.

Damp ground and still cold conditions tonight mean that the met office have issued a severe weather warning for fog. It may be dense and perhaps in some places become freezing fog (nasty) so take care tonight and allow extra time in the morning.

It may clear in the southern regions as a warm front approaches early in the morning.

Oh joy ~ the wonderful combination of (freezing) fog and frost. Temperature here is already down to 2.7C and car windscreen is covered ready for the morning!

I've been awol for a while, so a weather thread makes me feel all at home again
We had a lovely misty blanket over the fields at about 4pm, really pretty in the sunset, but glad I'm not driving tonight.
Will leave extra time in the morning to get to work though.

I've just driven home cross-country across Berkshire, and it was pretty thick in places - I really hate driving in fog
