I'm a little concerned about the potential for ice tonight for those in western parts - esp around Salisbury plain. It all depends on how much standing water there is after today's rain and how quickly the skies clear, but it does look as though in rural areas temps may drop below zero. So just be aware that you may need to allow extra time first thing tomorrow and take care - we are sort of out of practice with this cold weather stuff!
We had wind and rain start sometime in the middle of the night and it didn't stop until 3.30pm, apart from a moment at 7am, according to my Tesco delivery man who arrived at 11.30am. I and little dog didn't get up until 7.45am Never known it to never stop for so long and the end of our road turned into a large but shallow lake for the first time ever since I've been here for the last 16.5 years. No more rain atm, 7.5 degrees out but cannot tell if it is a clear sky as no stars or moon to be seen.
