Although it feels a bit cool at the moment, it looks like we might reach quite warm temps next week, especially in the south (perhaps scraping into the low 20's). Big proviso though - the last warm spell was spoiled by too much moisture bringing in fog and low cloud, rather than the hoped for sun for some of us. Sadly this could happen again. But the potential is there for some rather pleasant weather.

Ooo could be some warmth <puts away thermals> It's really miserable here this morning ~ 'tis raining and only 13.2C!
(How are you doing, OYBBK?)

BlackeyedSusan Thu 03-Oct-13 07:28:23

oh my goodness it is froggy

good news on the warmth. i think there will be lods of mons in the playgound though, given the reaaction to the fog last time.

I am staying in my thermals. Forecast on TV has just said 16 degrees minimum tonight so very mild but also humid for SE Rain tomorrow - more humidity- and then a lovely weekend into next weeksmile
Trouble is the pesky weeds are loving itconfused.

Thunder storm here (close to Eastbourne, Sussex). Quite violent for half an hour or so & now died away to rumbles.

Not very autumnal.

OYBBK ~ don't over do it <stern look>

Not much rain overnight but humid here ~ 16.9C

Sparklingbrook Fri 04-Oct-13 07:01:50

The humidity is horrible at the moment. Can we have dry and mild. Not jungle conditions? Ta.

digerd Fri 04-Oct-13 07:10:29

OYBBK Whats its going to be like in Anglesley next week we on our hoildays we dont mind cold weather and windy but dont want the wet stuff in the day time though we still have how windows open here in the north west

funkybuddah Fri 04-Oct-13 09:27:17

I really don't like it, if it's going to be warm can it be nice rather then damp and muggy. I cant dry my laundry but too warm to put on heating.

warm and dry or cold please.

Fed up over here

Sparklingbrook Fri 04-Oct-13 09:28:52

Exactly funky it's playing havoc with my wavy hair.

pumpkinsweetie Fri 04-Oct-13 09:32:10

Very worrying when it is this warm in October, global warming maybe??

I agree with the majority, don't mind the warmth if the sun is with it or the rain if the cold is with it, but i hate this rain with warmth. Wearing a coat in this heat at 27 wks pregnant to avoid getting wet is nasty. I can't wait for the cold!

pumpkinsweetie Fri 04-Oct-13 09:34:02

Hi magi we also had a thunder storm here last night, south east kent.
Was very violent, the hallway actually lit up with the lightning!

Amrapaali Fri 04-Oct-13 09:38:29

Me too pumpkin it looks very odd wearing a thick parka with a fur hood, in this weather. Cant be arsed with a separate raincoat.

I actually WANT to wear my thick winter coat. Means I can do the school run in a tatty pyjama T shirt. Just pull the coat on and away we trot....!

Sparklingbrook Fri 04-Oct-13 10:44:11

The sun is shining now. shock

OhYouBadBadKitten Fri 04-Oct-13 10:48:41

stars - you might get a bit of rain, especially Monday, but actually its looking pretty good smile pleasant temps, little in the way of wind. Not too bad at all for October in N. Wales.

OhYouBadBadKitten Fri 04-Oct-13 10:49:29

17c but really humid at 92%. With the wind it feels a bit tropical!

starsandunicorns Fri 04-Oct-13 13:48:58

Ohhh thankyou <chucks binkni in suitcase> its a much needed break on a shoestring but excited even more so now would it be crule to drag dp around around all the castles or should I leave him at the nearest pub

OhYouBadBadKitten Fri 04-Oct-13 14:10:03

Should have been clear, those were my present temps!

Hmm which choice will give you the nicest break?

starsandunicorns Fri 04-Oct-13 15:14:51

digerd Fri 04-Oct-13 18:02:03

ew, it's too warm and muggy. My Tesco delivery lady moaned she was sweating it felt so warm. Couldn't be bothered to take off my thermals so just put my velour trousers on over them and my thin summer jacket over the thermal vestgrin. It's warmer out walking than sitting than indoors. 19 out 21 in.

digerd Fri 04-Oct-13 18:03:18

One too many "than".

digerd Fri 04-Oct-13 18:10:39

We have no windsad. Usually a breeze is cooling but sometimes a humid breeze just makes it even more close. We have had it humid all summer and still isconfused. My weeds are enormous just like in the tropicsgrin

InkleWinkle Fri 04-Oct-13 18:23:39

Cold & crisp weather is what I'm waiting for. It's the only weather I can actually have straight hair in!
