Woke up to thick fog here and thought it was my eyes, but putting glasses on just was just as bad.
Is lifting now at last.

digerd · 05/09/2013 10:52

The fog lifted about an hour ago. Sun not hot but the air is steamy as no breeze . at all .
Don't want pouring rain for hours on end, but will appreciate a cooler air tomorrow but not the damp Confused. SE

27.5C here (Leicester) with a very slight breeze at times.
Have been clearing my newly acquired (as of 3 weeks ago) allotment this morning and have probably managed to drink my own body weight in water!

Looking at the weather warning for us, it's all changed. There's no warning at all (for anywhere in the UK now) for tomorrow but we're covered by one for Saturday. But when you look at the hourly breakdown for our area, it's forecast to rain all day Friday with only cloud on Saturday Confused

Looks like the fog contributed to the awful crash in the SE this morning.

We had 27.6 in the shade at 3pm. Now sky has hazed over and 25.9. Can't see any air movement/breeze.
Just waiting for it to cool down before little dog's last walk about 6.30.
Even when we have had a breeze during the day, by 6pm it has gone.

Awaiting tomorrow's weather with some trepidationHmm SE

For most, I don't think there's much to worry about. In the se it actually looks ok by Saturday. For most there will be rain at times, sometimes heavy. Perhaps those in Wales, west midlands and the NW should be more aware. However things may change, so keep an eye on the warnings page in case.

I'd like slightly cooler temperatures and lower humidity. And I'd also like some rain, as we don't seem to have had much for a while here in my bit of Hampshire.

soggy day then.

I woke up several times last night as too hotConfused. This morning at 6am it is dark still but doesn't seem to have rained in the night.
TV weather still says it will rain today and be much cooler, but 15 degrees atm]hmm].
Got to take little dog out before 7am so hope it will be lighter and still dry Hmm

It's 11 degrees here and pouring. We reached the dizzy heights of 20 degrees yesterday with hazy sunshine all day. It definitely wasn't hot or humid.

Feels like autumn here after a boiling hot day yesterday!

Report
GloriaSmud · 06/09/2013 10:44

Temperature's gone down to 12.8C. It's dark, cold, damp and miserable ~ a proper autumn day.

I'm taking a load of Brownies to meet about 500 other Brownies at a PGL weekend this weekend. I was really looking forward to it, but now I'm not so sure. I hope they have a lot of alternative indoor activites to fall back on. Hmm

I am confused! Forecast said torrential rain most of the day today, but we've had a few drops at best (SE) Outside thermometer says 16.5 degrees but it still feels quite muggy here... Yesterday got up to 31 apparently so it is significantly cooler but not quite Autumnal yet...

We've got a day out planned for Sunday but I don't trust the forecasts now... Hmmm

Does anybody know if it's going to be a complete washout next week? Weather forecast for the next few days in the Nottinghamshire area looks pretty miserable. I need it to be dry...
